If his calculations were correct, it would mean that right before the bomb went off, the energy it would emit would meet the energy from his spark, and due to the difference in their wavelengths they would cancel each other out, in theory, deactivating the bomb.
And snuffing out his spark in the process."

Summary
Shortly after starting to go out, Miles and Phoenix decide (with Maya's intervention) to take a much needed vacation. After a major incident occurs, they realize that work isn't something they'll be able to get away from any time soon.
The idea from this fic appeared from the mention of Judge Claude Frollo (from Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame) on a Narumitsu discord server. I got the idea of a casefic with a corrupt judge based off of that character and the idea escalated turning into this, this isn't a crossover nor an AU, but the judge is straight up Frollo.
