What if Megatron was part of the High Guard?
Megatron, Captain of the High Guard and reigning Champion in the pits of Kaon, gets assigned to work for Prima Prime - He has a new, shiny prospect who needs a Guard, and who better to protect them than the relentless, fearless Megatron?The job is simple: protect Prima's prospect from harm.
Easy enough since the peace treaty was signed with the Quintessans; the largest threat to Prima's precious prospect would be whatever paperwork the Prime's decide to throw at them...
Megatron expects to be bored to tears by this assignment... but when he finally meets with the prospect he quickly realizes why they need protection.It's not so much protection from others that's needed, but more so protection from themselves - to Megatron's detriment.

Summary
Nobody's gone into heat since the war began. War makes it unsafe to raise sparkling's after all. But when the seeker's numbers drop too low a system override signal is sent out to all seeker kind, in a desperate attempt to increase their numbers back up to safe levels. Forcing them into a heat so strong they'll have no choice but to breed with the nearest Cybertronian. Too bad it happens when the elite trine are being held prisoner by the Autobots.

Summary
Soundwave's banishment to the shadowzone has been bleak, uneventful and unending. He hasn't been able to contact Megatron or the Nemesis. He's low on fuel. If it weren't for the emotion-suppressing protocols he implemented before the war, he would be miserable.
And then one day a dimension-hopping Rodimus falls into the shadowzone and offers him a way out.
“You'll like the Lost Light,” said Rodimus. “Everyone gets a second chance, there. You wanna stay here forever?”
