Quillsh Wammy or was popularly known by his alias, Watari, was not a typical grumpy White Old Man, neither was he the cursing type one. However, the sudden appearance of a small crying child screaming for his mother on the 22nd floor of the 23 stories building in Metropolitan Tokyo knocked him out from his seat.
After investigating the shrieking child closely, and being a skilled observer he was, the old man was sure that the small boy looked exactly like the carbon copy of another raven-haired boy he took into his care over twenty years prior. He gaped.
"Sweet Holy Christ, what the fuck is happening?"

“Nothing, it’s just—It’s sweet,” Claudia admitted at last, looking at him shyly from behind her diary before she let her eyes fall to the page again. A beat later she let out a dreamy sigh and said, “I can’t wait to find somebody that looks at me like that one day.”
Her statement, simple and wistful though it was, made Louis’ happiness turn to ash in his mouth.

Just a bit of speculation about how Louis and Lestat will handle the realization that Claudia may resent them after she figures out she’ll never be able to grow up.

Lestat and Louis were never the picture-perfect couple, that much she had always knew; they fought terribly in that angry, bitter way men often did and were at each other’s throats constantly, in both the metaphorical and vampiric sense. Claudia was used to the slamming doors, the screaming and the curses, comforted by them even. Recently though, the tension in the house was palpable. Thick in the air and suffocating Claudia. What her parents had argued about, she didn’t know. What she did know was that if neither of them was willing to try and fix it then she would just have to do it herself. After all, she’d probably do a better job of it.

The townhouse at Rue Royale was silent as the grave when Lestat came home late one evening, flushed and sated from his second kill of the night. He heard nothing as he stepped inside, not the crackle of a flame in the fireplace nor the soft turning of a page as Louis read the night away, as he was often wont to do.
The silence unnerved Lestat. Something about it just didn’t sit right.
“Louis?” he called from the door, but there was no answer.
