Summary
The Archipelago was a mystical place that cradled the world of dragons and the nordic gods, shielded by its own magic that hid its existence from mortals and rendered it separate from the rest of the world.
In other words, it was the perfect place to disappear without a trace, and much like the rest of the Spirit world, a recently-defeated Pitch knew this very well.
Jack was the newest Guardian and the only one whose responsibilities weren't all-consuming, so naturally he was the one tasked with the simple mission of following, stopping, and retrieving the weakened King of Nightmares who managed to escape into the Archipelago.
And simple this mission was, until Jack did as he's always done- made a mess wherever he went.
All he wanted to do was successfully track Pitch, lock him in a storm or a blizzard or some form of trap he couldn't escape from, and successfully get him back home and re-jailed.
He didn't mean to trap a dragon and his rider instead. He certainly didn't mean to start a new religion in this 'Berk' place by saving them from his own doing.
Hiccup meanwhile couldn't believe his luck. Only he could manage getting kidnapped and released by an actual god.

Usually, it's a mix of all three. This time, however, Hiccup just couldn't explain it. It was a blizzard unlike any he had ever seen. Not even Toothless had been able to save him. But something, or someone did. Hiccup just couldn't figure out who.

Sure, Grace is a little malnourished, but he can make it! They've been through so much already, there's nothing he and Rocky can't do!
...Ok, so this new alien was not predicted and honestly, Grace needs to stop jinxing himself. He's not quite sure he wants to deal with whatever giant thing this is that has now taken interest in the Hail Mary. He needs a nap.

If you were to ask Grace, he would tell you that he is very much not a superhero. Sure, that's what all of Earth (and potentially now Erid) would tell you— he saved the stars, sacrificed everything for a planet he'd never see again— but he'd tell you they're wrong. And the fact that his life has started sounding like the plot of a comic book was definitely not helping his case.
So, apparently, long-term or excessive exposure to the radioactive frequency Astrophage puts out can cause some pretty weird side-effects in humans... or at least one human. Okay, yes, Grace may be able to grow and shrink on a dime like Ant-Man, but that doesn't make him a hero!
...does it?
In this issue: The Eridians find a strange, blood-covered submarine and bring it to their resident handyman/scientist friend Grace to help the living thing inside. It goes... about as well as you could expect, to be honest...Bookmarked by ashamedart

Just after Grace and Rocky are reunited at Tau Ceti, something odd pops up on the proximity alert. Seized by curiosity and fueled by a need for purpose, Grace reaches out for this artifact, only measuring about a foot across. Despite it's small size, they couldn't have guessed the scale of the discovery.
Neither could Simon, trying to sort out reality and hallucination, as he escapes the horrors lurking in AT-5. He comes face to face with a larger than life figure, coming to terms with his past and his future.

This thing’s eye is bigger than my head. Grace frowned, puzzled at the last bit of wandering thought as he tried to make sense of that observation. It felt like he was being drugged once again, eyes struggling to translate the colors and lights. It would be so easy to close them instead, with the lack of pain or much of anything at all…
It took an embarrassingly long time to understand what was right in front of his eyes. The lack of oxygen was admittedly getting to his brain and messing up with reason and fright but in his defense, it wasn’t every day that you found yourself face to face with a mountain-sized human.
“Oh.”
It took him another second to realize the sound had slipped from his throat.
