Summary
Kirk Hammett, along with quite a few other rockstars, are living their life in college. Or, at least everyone else had been. Kirk recently transferred from one of the most top notch schools in his country to wherever the fuck hes at now for some reason he'd rather not tell. He's introduced to James and Cliff who welcome him with.. somewhat.. open arms. They eventually introduce Kirk to Lars and few other less interesting characters. As relieved as Kirk is to finally be free from his previous hellhole, he's also worried he might've taken the wrong path.

Summary
On the cusp of losing his job at his music magazine for an inappropriate prank on a coworker, Lars Ulrich is sent to Hawaii to write about the Pipeline Masters—surfing, of all things! He secures an interview with Kirk Hammett, a pro surfer whose two-year press absence provokes a lot of questions Lars wants to find the answers to. If only Kirk weren't quite so handsome, Lars might be able to focus on saving his job.

Summary
In the early days, Jason felt like an outsider. The shoes Cliff left him to fill just felt too damn big sometimes. Not only was it an impossible task, but a seemingly unwelcome one. James in particular is grieving his loss with alcohol and rage, a combination that leads to violent night terrors. But when James' armor is cracked, it allows Jason to glimpse something he didn't know was there, to see the singer in a new light. Maybe there's more to James than Jason thought.
