Summary
After defeating Chuck, Dean expects that Jack, who is now the new God, will be able to bring back Cas, but unfortunately, Jack can’t. The entity of the Empty has managed to hide Cas from Jack, and all he can do, is wait for the entity of the Empty to make a mistake and release its grip on Castiel, which might take at least a century.
Dean, shattered by the fact that he is going to have to live his life without Cas, mourning him for the rest of his days, drowns himself into the unforgiving and painful sea of grief. And as much as he wants to give up on life, he forces to keep going, because he doesn’t want Cas’ sacrifice to be for nothing, even if the simple act of breathing hurts.
Unable to stay in the bunker anymore, haunted by the many memories he shared with Cas, Dean leaves the bunker and ends up buying a house near a lake. The house needs a lot of restoration, but Dean decides to work on it, hoping that if Cas is ever brought back from the Empty, he will have a nice home to come back to, even if Dean is no longer alive.

Summary
Dean and Cas drive to Vermont to investigate a case involving a djinn. Unfortunately, when they get where the djinn hides, they get separated and the djinn finds Dean and puts him to sleep.
When Dean wakes up, he finds that his dream consists of living in a nice house in the woods with Cas, who he is happily married to. Dean knows he has to leave the dream as soon as possible, but he is secretly in love with Cas and the dream is offering him everything his heart wants.
Dean decides to remain in the dream for a day and then leave, just so he can know what it feels like to be with Cas for a little while. He only hopes that Cas doesn’t end up getting in his dream to save him, because that would definitely ruin their friendship.

“Yeah,” Dean confesses. “I’d love that, actually. But, obviously, we can’t do that ‘cause your dick either goes in my mouth or in my ass.”
Dean chuckles at his words, waiting for Cas to join him too, but the angel is looking at Dean intensely, and Dean knows that Cas is thinking about something.
“We could do that,” Castiel says after a beat.
“What?” Dean asks, looking at Cas incredulously. “Cas, seriously, how the hell we could do that?”
“I’m still an angel,” Castiel begins to explain casually. “I could go a week into the future, get my future self, bring him back to our time, and then, I could fuck you at the same time you blow me. Obviously, it would involve me two times, but the end result would be what you want.”
Loss at words, Dean only manages to gape at Castiel.

Summary
In Spokane, Washington, Dean and Castiel finish a case with a powerful witch. Ready to go back home, they start driving back to the bunker, only to find that a big purple shield is blocking their way, not letting them leave.
Forced to remain in that town, Dean and Castiel go to a cabin, where they will have to stay until the two of them find a way to break the spell with the help of Sam and Eileen, who are in the bunker, unable to reach them.
In normal circumstances, Dean wouldn’t mind being stuck in such a lovely place with his best friend, but he is secretely in love with Cas and there is only one bed, so things aren’t going to be that easy for Dean.
