Daniel was panting with want before Armand even finished his sentence. He wanted to push forward, press his open mouth against Armand’s, but the grip on his hair was strong. It held him exactly where Armand wanted to keep him.
Queen of the Damned was ‘transparently sadomasochistic’.
This fic’s gonna pull Armand and Daniel from the likes of Anne’s inherently fantasy based Beauty trilogy and into a modern au transparent Master/slave dynamic between a Master of colour and his white boy.

“O-kay…” he says, in his best imitation of Daniel yet, if he says so himself; Daniel’s grin is a clear stamp of approval.

Each has its perks, like free food, employee discounts at his mom’s favorite store, and– actually he’s not sure what he would gain from helping people do their taxes, he’d probably commit fraud by accident somehow. But each one sounds fucking awful and gets a big fat X drawn overtop it.
It’s not until the word ‘typist’ catches his attention that he finally circles a job before his arm can start to feel heavy and useless. If Daniel was paying attention, he would’ve seen SECRETARY plastered above it.

Or at least that’s what Daniel thinks the kid is doing. Maybe he’s not. Maybe Daniel is delusional—or drunk—and he’s totally gotten the wrong end of the stick. He throws back the last of his beer and puts the glass down.
“Look, kid—and feel free to slap me across the face if I’m completely barking up the wrong tree here—but it kinda feels like you’re coming on to me,” he says, bluntly.
May as well rip the band-aid off. Worst-case scenario, he gets a slap in the face. Best case scenario, he makes it with… a student… who’s got to be more than half his age. Fuck.
