Armand frowns a bit more, putting his device down and actually adjusting his position on the bed so he's sitting facing Daniel. “But these things should not come up during this week… you're on vacation.”
Daniel nods slowly, actually considering the words. Then a slightly bitter laugh escapes his lips and he shrugs. “Well, yeah. Welcome to the life of a journalist. But that's what I chose to do with my few years left of my facade of a human life, so I kind of have to do it.” He takes a sip of his bloody coffee, finishing it and leaving the mug on the bedside table.
Meanwhile, a soft hand rests over Daniel’s thigh, and the ancient vampire fights his urge to just go and do what he thinks should be done. Instead, he asks for his partner’s opinion this time. (He's been working on it. One step at a time, cautious.) “I could… talk to your employers, rearrange this meeting for next week.”

After being turned, Daniel Molloy still works as a journalist, and has now gone for vacations with his maker. And it WAS going well.
Except... Daniel's bosses apparently needed him immediately.

Nadia is an underpaid stage manager who does a pretty good job of dealing with what ever is currently happening with Lestat. She does such a good job, in fact, that Lestat decides to turn her into a vampire. yay! (maybe)
ANYWAY Lestat is Lestat about it, forcing Daniel to become a father, after feeling like he failed his own daughters.I just love the idea of Daniel being a dad to a daughter he didn't raise.
