In some twisted, self-destructive corner of his mind, he wanted it, to push him far enough that the inevitable would happen. That Saps would have no choice but to pull the trigger. Hopefully just one bullet, he thought, almost idly. It could be clean in the midst of all the nearby destruction. At least then he'd have the proof that he had an effect of sorts, that he had mattered and provoked something real and undeniable in the grand indifferent sprawl of it all.
And maybe, just maybe, he also thoroughly enjoyed watching Saps unravel.
or, in which there's nothing left for fluixon in paradise city. on his way out, he crosses paths with the scientist who still has everything to lose. it comes as a surprise to no one but fluixon that he doesn't seem keen to let him leave so easily.

Summary
Flos vomitus (more commonly known as Hanahaki disease) is a chronic respiratory infection targeting the lungs, diaphragm, and bronchus.

There is no known cure, but there are two main treatment paths.
The first is managing the feeling of unrequited longing, often through confessional means.
The second is an invasive surgery that results in the eviction of flora from the body that often results in selective amnesia targeting memories of the subject of longing.

Flux began approaching the two, mostly just to figure out what Saps was dressed as, but stopped short as he watched Saps lean in close to Thomas, whisper something in his ear that made him flush, and snatch the train conductor hat off of his head. Thomas clearly argued with him, jabbing him in the stomach and snatching it back.
He’d known Saps didn’t like him that way, the two of them had been friends for years with no clear indication of interest. Still, it hurt to know that his two best friends had kept this from him for god knows how long.-
Flux can handle having an unrequited crush.
He can't handle his two best friends being in love.

His brain aches in the back of head, and he's woken up with a blurred memory of a dream. He remembers the doves, the walk through the forest, but can’t bring hismelf to recollect the memories he distinctly remembers having. In fact, he can’t remind himself of the face of the boy he talked to. His face – one that Flux remembered oh so indulgently admiring – has now become tainted, and awfully hazy. Flux can’t even remind himself of the boy’s name, it's on the tip of tongue but it won’t ever come to him. He can’t remember his voice, or the way he laughed. Trying to reminisce about this boy can only make his stomach churn, his heart pang, and only makes his head hurt even worse. He finds himself genuinely upset about ths. Even taking account of those terrible dreams, Flux wants to imagine himself back in the landscape, back talking to the man whose name he can’t remember.

Flux stares blankly at his screen.
His character is completely frozen. Everything around him moves at what feels like five FPS. He can’t interact, he can’t hear anyone speak. Even the smallest attempt and he freezes again.
In that moment, a rush of thoughts crashes through his head: Yeah, I’m going to end it all. The world officially hates me. I hate everyone. I’m going to delete everything and vanish off the face of the earth.
Then the server kicks him out entirely.
