Ren understands the pain that Akechi has gone through his entire life, but he can't lose him - not again.
After Ren accepts Maruki's true reality, he is surprised to wake up beside his boyfriend Goro Akechi, who remembers nothing that happened in regards to the Phantom Thieves. His memory has been wiped, and any memory tracing back to the Phantom Thieves has been altered to explain his existence.
Ren begins to feel guilt the more he sees Akechi live his happy, everyday life and attempts to tell him short "stories" about the things they experienced, masquerading them as the tales of others. Yet each story begins to trigger a traumatizing memory that Akechi can't understand why he has.
