    Summary

In-ho has one chance to convince Gi-hun to join him as his right-hand-man, or else the VIPs want him dead. He agrees.

Because In-ho is right. The rebellion didn't work. It was never going to work. The players are simply too far removed from the people really in charge. Even killing the Front Man would only result in a replacement Front Man. But as the Front Man's protégé, Gi-hun can make a difference. He can do what he can for the players from above, rather than below. He can investigate the gold-masked men. He can scheme.

There's light in the darkness. In-ho helps Gi-hun get Ga-yeong back. He teaches him how to fight, how to survive in this deadly world. Slowly, slowly, they begin to trust each other. (The kissing happens long before the trust.)

Gi-hun uses his new power, undreamt of in his old life, to do what he never did before: think only of others. And the luxury helps, the high-end alcohol helps, but of course he's still tortured by guilt. But at least they're tortured together, and take sanctuary in each other. Gi-hun gets to fight in favor of the players; In-ho gets to not be alone. They both got what they wanted.

Begins immediately following the events of S2.

    Summary

“It was my understanding from Jack’s letter that you need my help to get to Heaven. No doubt you intend to deliver me to the angels too.” The Stag’s words have Will breaking out into a cold sweat. It’s not mere suspicion; Hannibal Lecter knows he’s been sent to betray him… then why in God’s name was he allowed through the door? The demon’s smile widens, and Will gets his answer. “I am more than happy to assist you, dear boy… all I ask for in exchange is your loyalty. Forget whatever sermon the angels fed you, and work for me instead.”

In which Hannibal Lecter, AKA: the Stag, First Fury of Hell, is a time-twisting demon lord who really doesn’t want to go to Heaven.

Will Graham, recently deceased and new resident of Hell himself, is the one man in the universe who can deliver him.

“The custodian in charge of the matters of my ancestral home is retiring,” Hannibal says. Will notices the white knuckle grip Hannibal has on the letter, crumpling one corner of it.

    He waits, sipping coffee.

“There are many matters that he will now need to pass to me, while I wait to find someone to replace him. And, there is much to attend to at the estate that I have not even thought upon in decades.” Hannibal puts down the letter and picks up his spoon. The crux of the problem emerges. “He is suggesting that I come home."

    Summary

“What do you see?” Hannibal asks, indulging his curiosity.

“A mirror,” Will says slowly. “Equilibrium. One might have been a god, but he could be brought down by the wiles of a human. A human who chose him above other admirers, because he recognized the connection between them that couldn’t form between him and any other. Hyacinthus made such a mark upon Apollo that we still feel it today."

Hannibal nods. “Hyacinths are poisonous. They often represent jealousy, a bitter emotion, as well as a longing for forgiveness. The flower of love and hate, if there ever was one.”

Will brushes aside a strand of hair from Hannibal’s forehead, his touch leaving a fire in its wake. “They were born from beauty. All poisons are beautiful to someone.” He’s smiling down at him with eyes more filled with clarity and acceptance and raw understanding than ever, and Hannibal stares hopelessly back, seeing himself reflected. Indeed, they are a mirror.
