Summary
SENSORY ILLUSIONS IN AVIATION:
"Human senses are not naturally geared for the in-flight environment. Pilots may experience disorientation and loss of perspective, creating illusions that range from false horizons to sensory conflict with instrument readings, the misjudging of altitude over water, thinking that their life is over when it's only just starting, or loving someone so much they might just die over it.
(…)Stalls in fixed-wing aircraft are often experienced as a sudden reduction in lift. It may be caused either by the pilot increasing the wing's angle of attack or by a decrease in the critical angle of attack. The latter may be due to slowing down (below stall speed) or stopping living life in the chaotic ruleset of a war. A stall does not mean that the engine(s) have stopped working, or that life doesn't go on, that love doesn't find you."

Summary
Booker has no idea what's happening. One minute there's a strange woman in his kitchen in Paris, the next he's picking bits of himself off the kill-floor in South Sudan. Surely if he gets another shot at that nightmare, he'll do better this time, right?
Or: Booker Time Loop AU, he's stuck re-living of the events of the film, and he's barely holding anything together.

Summary
Klaus isn’t sure what drives his next movement. He had never been particularly brave or self-sacrificing – usually leaving those stupid heroics to Luther or Diego. But he is suddenly on his feet and stepping in between the detective and the hitwoman as she pulls the trigger.
Klaus staggers back, feeling the impact of the bullet like a punch to the chest.
-
Klaus’s rescue from Hazel and Cha Cha plays out a little differently. Instead of escaping through the vent and disappearing into the past, Klaus takes the bullet meant for Detective Patch and bleeds out on the motel floor. The thing is, he doesn’t stay dead.
Cue, afterlife epiphanies, surprise revivals, and Diego & Ben being mother hens.
[AU, set during Episode 4: Man on the Moon]
