It takes Jean longer than it should to realise what the ovular purple mark on Jeremy’s jaw, and the squarish shadow over his Adam’s apple is. It’s only when Jeremy ties back his hair to start warming up, and Jean is given the additional context of four ovular bruises in a line down the curve of Jeremy’s neck, on the opposite side to the jaw bruise, that he realises what that is — a handprint.
Or; Jeremy has bruises again, Ivan Faser is a smug prick, and Jean can’t bear to watch Jeremy hurt himself with lousy men anymore.

Summary
Laurent is a ragdoll, pulled down into the dark at improbable speed. The lift it makes in his stomach is odd, like the giddy drop on a rollercoaster. A moment of elation, perhaps, before he dies.
He breaks the surface.
His gasping mouth now pulls in air, his feet firmly on the rock bottom of the spring and legs holding him up unshakably. Water streams from his head, down his body, as though a bucket had been dumped over his head. He reaches up to push his sopping hair from his eyes.
“Naiad,” a voice says.
Laurent stills. Psychological collapse should be allowed, by the universe, to be a solitary affair, especially when it happens in a state of complete undress. It’s unfair on a cosmic level that Laurent should be happened upon by a stranger in his current condition.

On holiday with his brother in Ios, Laurent bathes in a hot spring. Unfortunately, he drowns. Even more unfortunately, when he surfaces somehow, he finds himself thrust back in time. Jeremy smiles, small and bashful and with just a peek of teeth. Jean resists the urge to poke at his canines. “Y’know, wounded soldier, coming back from war,” he says, then bumps their shoulders together, gesturing down at his knee. “You hurt your knee, right?”
“Does that make you the loyal wife awaiting his return from the war?” Allison asks archly, glancing over from Renee, Dan and Seth to look at Jeremy.
Jean doesn’t think he can cope with an answer to that question, so he quickly says to Jeremy, “Sort of.”
Jean gets a mysterious injury, Jeremy is distracted, Katelyn is shipping, Allison is scheming and Kevin just wants to study for their midterm. The rest of the Foxes also have opinions, obviously.

Modern AU in which Damen assumes Auguste’s little brother is completely indifferent to him, until Laurent slowly takes control of Damen’s sex life and it’s all Damen never knew he needed.
Warning-wise, expect Damen to have sex with men and women who are not Laurent, mostly offscreen, unless Laurent is watching.
Also, I tried to make Damen text like a contemporary young person, but I am a Gen-X texter, who always uses capitalization and punctuation and typically full sentences, so I don’t think I was very successful.

There's a turquoise awning over the gold-trimmed doorway and before San Niang even walks her through, Xie Lian is trying to straighten her back into proper posture. San Niang lightly squeezes her hand.
There is a small crowd milling around inside; waiters in matching uniforms carrying trays of champagne, and people standing in front of some of the displays talking quietly to each other. San Niang's work occupies a whole room, the wing to the right of the doorway. The brick walls are decorated mostly with her largest oil paintings— massive abstract and lurid scenes that are at once sinister and inviting.
At the center, there is a sculpture of a plum branch, frozen in bloom, the flowers made of blown glass rather than steel like the rest. The branch is twice San Niang's height and each of the dozen flowers is a unique one.
"This came out incredible," Xie Lian says, stopping a few feet away from the centerpiece to take the whole thing in. San Niang snorts, her eye darting the other way.
