Robin Buckley’s life has never been particularly exciting, but she does find that lately, it’s full of surprises.
She’s surprised at how easy it is to excel in all of her senior-level classes. She’s surprised at how much fun she’s having with her best friend at their grating yet tolerable job. Hell, she’s surprised that Steve Harrington’s her best friend in the first place.
And she’s never liked surprises, but these are the good kind of surprises.
The good kind, that is, until she finds herself in a place she never imagined she’d be: head-over-heels for her best friend’s ex-girlfriend, Nancy Wheeler.
But the biggest surprise of all may be how far Robin is willing to go to protect all three of them from the havoc that her two-faced affection would wreak if anyone was able to see it.

The words tumbled out of her mouth before she could stop them. "Y' wanna know a secret?" Nancy giggled, her eyes aching dully. She knew she should stop talking, at this point, but it was as if she couldn't move her own mouth. "As to why I broke up with Jonathan, I mean?"
"Why is that?" Robin asked through her own giggles. Once one of them started, neither of them could stop. Despite the laughter, though, she seemed genuinely curious, laying her cheek deeper into her palm, her lips stretching upwards to meet it.
"I kinda wished he was a girl." And then Nancy burst out in full-body cackles, like it was the funniest thing she'd ever heard herself say. As if she was ridiculous. A secret she had kept bottled up for years, out in the daylight so suddenly. Almost involuntarily. She couldn't help but laugh, and so she did, until tears began to well up in her eyes.
When she finally caught her breath, she realized this time, Robin wasn't giggling back at her.

Natalie Scatorccio has always fascinated me, from the first moment I saw her at soccer tryouts 4 years ago. She hovered at the edge of everything by herself, seemingly content on her own. She didn’t seem like the “team-player” type, but watching her play that day was like seeing into her soul. She picked unnecessary fights, bit off more than she could chew, but, most importantly, she never backed down. She tried, and tried, and tried again, and always picked herself back up at the end. On the rare occasion that we locked eyes, hers practically scorched me with the relentless fire burning inside them. She had an honest, steadfast spirit. To others it looked like recklessness, or a combative nature, but to me it was plain as day: Nat Scatorccio just doesn’t fucking give up.

It’s like the Yellowjackets are all on Lottie’s shrooms or something, because now under Shauna’s leadership, everyone is just prancing around, causing drama, and lesbianing out. Fortunately, Natalie is completely unaffected by all of it—that is, until she starts getting visions and visits from a ghost who seems very interested in opening her up to the gay agenda of the wilderness.

Yellowjackets S3, except Shauna has channeled all her homicidal tendencies into homosexual ones. Nat gets chased by three girls and visited by three spirits, Tai and Van show the girls what it takes to be lesbian, a paranoid Shauna is haunted by poltergeist Jackie, and Misty tries to get on top. And if you can’t already tell, this is a crack fic (but like, a meaningful one?)
