Diablo: Amor Aeternus is a 4-Act fanfiction series set 20 years after Diablo III: Reaper of Souls. The story follows the New Tristram crew as they attempt to understand and avert a world-ending conflict between the Nephalem and the forces of the Eternal Conflict.'Many ages ago, angels and demons stole a powerful artifact, the Worldstone, and used it to create the mortal world: Sanctuary. Their children, the Nephalem, triumphed against evil countless times, upsetting the eternal balance between good and evil. They were the bane of demons, and even the angels in their high towers began to fear them.
Although the Nephalem had their allies in the Heavens, one angel, Malthael, swept through Sanctuary as the Angel of Death, determined to eliminate all demonic essence.
