Ian sighs, having acquiesced to both his thoughts and Roddy's plea. “Fine, if you insist.”
Roderick momentarily stops his wallowing to throw Ian a look of confusion. “Huh?”
Ignoring him, Ian takes his phone out of his pocket and prepares to pull on some strings. “You see, poor Roderick, I happen to know a lot of people, most of which are friendly acquaintances.”
“. . .ok? I don't see why you have to rub it in—”
“That means that I have enough connections to,” he sighs, “set you up on a date.”
