Summary
Admittedly, this is not the first time Luke has wound up at someone else’s kitchen table in someone else’s clothes. But it’s not breakfast, Luke’s not an undergrad scarfing down bacon and eggs to cure the common hangover, and Din doesn’t strike him as the kind of guy he’d meet at a house party. The baby is definitely a first.
Luke is a grad student trying to finish his linguistics PhD after an unexpected leave of absence. His neighbor, Din, is a single dad and delivery guy at Pizza Parsec.
(Actually, Pizza Parsec is just a front for the bounty hunters' guild. But Luke doesn't need to know that.)

Summary
Overnight, the east-facing outer wall of the Jedi temple became choked in twisting vines again, even though Luke and Din spent all of last week hacking them back. But the tangle returned with a perseverance bordering on stubbornness, thicker than Din remembers it as the mass clings to the stone like a lover. Today, they use the lightsaber and the darksaber, and after a few good sizzles, the vines wither and retreat. Din almost feels guilty as he watches them shrink in on themselves and spring back into the jungle like coiled metal—it’s as if they’ve been scorned, heartbroken. And it’s a stupid thing to think, but this new quiet life with his son and his son’s Jedi has made him soft, made him into the sort of man who sees love stories where there’s nothing but weeds.

The Darksaber knows what is best for Mandalore.
It knows what is best for its people, who is best for its people and it delights in the fact it is finally in Mandalorian hands again. A fine warrior, fighting to protect his Foundling whose entire being is connected to the Resol’nare. A very fine Mandalorian indeed.
Din Djarin will accept his role as Mand’alor. The Darksaber will make it so.
Or: Din struggles with a future he does not want, a Creed he feels unworthy of and a Darksaber that haunts him. Literally.

Summary
It's several months after season 2, and politics are shifting rapidly in the New Republic.
“One of the delegation’s sticking points in the treaty has been a desire to share risk between the New Republic and Mandalore. They don’t want to sign without an assurance. Apparently it’s traditional to do this... somewhat literally. I don’t get the sense that it’s universally desired, but,” she shrugs a little, “we’re all floundering here. Rebuilding a republic out of a dictatorship isn’t easy.”
“I’m not getting the problem here, Leia. So they want it all in writing?”
She lays it out for him, and Luke can’t say he didn’t ask for it. “They want someone from the New Republic to become the new Mand’alor’s consort. Essentially, they want a hostage.”Luke wants the New Republic to back and fund his plans for the new Jedi Order, Bo-Katan wants Mandalore to rise to its previous glory, Leia wants a system of governance that is functional, and Din wants a nap.
(Or, the arranged marriage fic I had no intention of writing.)

The sight in front of him is familiar. Red, jagged handwriting covering his chest and arms, most of the words written over each other so much so that they’re unintelligible, resembling scar tissue. His soulmate’s biggest fears and worries and frustrations and hate about himself, documented over Luke’s body. Over time, the words built up, so much so that there’s very little skin left for Luke to see, going all the way up to his neck and down to his ankles.
For the longest time, Luke was just glad that he didn’t have any on his face. A scarf was enough to cover the writings on his neck.
At least, it used to be enough. Now, staring at the mirror, all Luke sees on his neck is a golden sheen, the bright red writing nowhere to be seen.
Or, 5 times Din and Luke don't realize they change how the other feels about themselves, and 1 time it happens in front of their eyes.
A soulmate AU in which your soulmate's thoughts about themselves appear on your body, blood red and jagged if negative, translucent and golden if positive.

After an accident damages Luke's prosthetic hand, he finds himself telling his student's father about how he lost his right hand, and in turn learns something about the quiet Mandalorian.
Or Din and Luke's relationship grows, and maybe Din falls in too deep and proposes without telling Luke. He almost gets away without voicing his feelings, if only it wasn't for that pesky Boba Fett. And Luke is more than happy when Din brings him a new prosthetic, unaware of the meaning behind it
(Yea, I'm bending Mandalorian culture to my own will, sue me.)
