Summary
Apparently, when Titans were defeated or fountains were closed, they didn't just dissapear. Kris's soul just absorbed them - and that has consequences, turning them into a half-titan half-human thing that they fear might slowly turn them into something like Dess turned into. With that, they also fear they might hurt people they don't want to hurt. Susie comforts them while Ralsei tries to read about what might happen.

Summary
Kris told Susie and Ralsei the whole plan Dess and Carol had going on, or everything they knew about it, once they realized… they don’t actually want their friends to die. They don’t actually want to do this. They also weren’t exactly supposed to get attached to them in the first place, but oh well.
Meanwhile, Dess flips out, abandons the plan as well in a fit of rage, and starts making tons of fountains in Hometown to kick-start the Roaring. While she’s at it, she rips Kris’s arm off and grabs their soul (which mysteriously disconnected from them as soon as the Roaring began) though Susie chases her down to take the soul back and make a run for it immediately after.
Prequel to the AU stuff by the way :] You can read either first, I don't think it matters what order you read it in (though the main fic started being worked on beforehand) ^^ Also once again, my blog for the AU is titan-kris-au on Tumblr (where I specify some things and have little doodles for what the titans look like)
