Summary
Techno glanced at his ticket to verify the numbers, and then back up at the flight status board. Yes, his flight was still at gate B32, and the board still showed it as delayed, boarding now. Which was really interesting, because he’d just been at the gate and there was so far from being staff there that the display screens were showing screen savers. There was also a visible lack of vehicle. He’d never been in a terrestrial airport before, but he was at least 90% sure that a flight taking off needed an airplane there, at least. The rabbit hybrid checked his ticket once more, glanced at the board, and then blinked as an update washed through it. About half the flights on the board changed to cancelled, and the rest delayed hours into the future. There was a groan from the crowd around him.
That would answer that, he guessed.
“That’s just fuckin’ perfect,” a voice said. Techno glanced to his side, where an elytrian with a cane and dark wings tucked behind him was grinning ruefully up at the board.
OR: Techno and Phil are trapped in an aiport.

Summary
Ranboo rounded the corner into the back corner of the library, already mentally on the next item on his to-do list, he needed to not forget, and then froze in place. There was already someone sitting at the isolated table he always sat at, eating a rice salad and reading on his phone.
And– he’d been staring too long. Ranboo cleared his throat. “Uh, hi, Techno. I didn’t– know anyone else was back here.”
Techno had also paused, plastic fork in his mouth. Ranboo had met him last term, when he’d asked for a history tutor and met the sardonic pink-haired masters’ student. The tutoring sessions had been the most painless ones Ranboo had ever sat through– he might even call them friends– but that was then. He’d never really talked to the other man outside of an academic context, aside from nodding at him a few times in the coffee line. Ranboo wasn’t sure how to handle this, and Techno evidently was feeling the same way. Techno nodded at Ranboo, expression clearly trying for polite. “How’s it goin’?”
