He huffs, lips quivering at the words spewing out of this thing’s mouth. Eddie gulps, forcing himself to look Vecna in the eyes. If he willed himself to stay behind and die for a town filled with people that wanted him dead, then he could face the monster that caused all of this in the first place.
“Are you him?” Eddie grunts through gritted teeth, red glistening on white.
Vecna tilts his head, taking two worrying steps forward, just a few feet from the man held captive. “I could ask you the same thing.”

Summary
When Mahal himself offers to send Thorin back to the start of the quest to save the line of Durin, he is determined to make amends for all of the mistakes he made the first time around.
When Bilbo wakes up in Bag End eighty years in the past, all he knows is that he has somehow been given the chance to see his beloved dwarves again and he'll be damned if he doesn't take it.
Both dwarf and hobbit are desperate to prevent the quest from ending in tragedy, but neither will be able to do it on their own. They'll need to work together if they want to keep the entire Company alive and whole --but first they need to realize that they are not alone in their efforts, and they have to stop getting in each other's way at every turn they make.
Hopefully, they'll learn some things this time that they failed to learn before. And maybe, just maybe, they'll find their happy ending that both have been yearning for.

He pressed forward through the unknown of the woods, determined to find somewhere safe. Somewhere without the constant threat of violence, without looming obsidian prisons, or craters of what was once home. Somewhere Michael could play outside, and somewhere Tubbo could finally have some peace.
OR
15 Years ago Tubbo left the SMP to raise Michael somewhere safe. Now Tommy is visiting with a plea for him to come back and help the Syndicate finally take down Dream.

Both hands, one player and one piglin, which held the sword loosened to nothing more than just a forgotten memory as one become more mesmerized at the glimmering, violet, shine that preened under all of the careful strokes and the other become more intrigued at the abnormal behaviors of what he once deem as a mindless mob he did not hesitate in killing.
“You’re a strange one aren’t you, mate?”
The piglin gave him a huff that sounded way too deep to be a child’s and an indifferent expression, his previously petting hands retreated back to his side and he stared the elder down with no hints of aggression or fear, as if he was the one dawning Netherite gear and not the other way around.

Tubbo shakes as he stares at his leader's eyes, regret and worry swarm his warm brown eyes, "These walls are safe, I promise. I'll make this place safe for us."
"I..." Tubbo clenches his hands, shaking his head, "You can't protect me forever, Wilbur." He replies, looking up to meet Tommy and Wilbur's eyes with a soft smile, "Let me become stronger so I can help protect you! That way, you don't have to keep worrying about me. That way..." His gaze falls down, meeting his torn shoes, "That way... I can be something too..."

Or Tubbo, who is idealized to be weak and helpless is desperate to show that he's more than just some trophy within castle walls.
