Aveline sighed. “Trust me, I know. Every year I would try to argue that this wasn’t the best use of the city’s resources, but then everyone would tell me that there would be riots if we didn’t have Santa.”
The Kirkwall Mall has a tradition of hosting pictures with Santa every year, and after becoming Champion, the duty has fallen to Hawke, and he has to listen while almost every citizen of Kirkwall visits to tell him what they want for Christmas. At least he gets some of his friends in his lap too.
