Summary
Starscream, Skywarp, and Thundercracker are happy-ish with the Decepticons. They believe in the cause, and are loyal. Or, mostly, in Starscream’s case. Despite energon shortages, and poor conditions, they have each other, and that’s enough.
But with Megatron’s declining state, that can be threatened. Where else is there to go, and would anyone be willing to take them?

Summary
Starscream wakes up. Kind of. He's dead, so it's a little hard to tell as to what constitutes. The last thing he remembers was his time spent preparing for the first independent research mission he and his scientific partner Skyfire agreed to go on... and now he's in a strange place, oddly ghostly, and lonely.
How did he die? What happened between his last memory and now? Where is he? All of those are questions Starscream would love to know the answer to, but unfortunately does not. Guess he's gotta start somewhere... Skyfire's a good option, right?

Summary

It’s not exactly behaving how it should and in an effort to stop it from ruining his other projects, Skyfire and Starscream throw themselves at it and end up stuck together, much to both Ratchet and Starscream’s disappointment.

Summary
Mirage gets sent on a lot of missions due to his outlier’s usefulness. This time, he’s stationed deep into the heart of Decepticon territory, the second in command’s habsuite. Which is unoccupied, because Starscream is out on a mission!
Supposedly.
Caught off guard, surprised, Mirage misses his opportunity to flee and stumbles upon something that he probably wasn’t meant to see. Wow, it’s a whole lot harder to hate your enemies when you release they’re capable of love and affection, isn’t it?
OR
Mirage gets stuck in Starscream’s quarters and intrudes on his trine-time affection. It really does make it harder to hate them.

There’s a lot of things Deadlock could say.
None of them matter.
Deadlock is a reaper, tasked with collecting the souls of the dead. He knows better than anyone that the end is inevitable, and in the end, nothing matters. Life is fleeting, death is inescapable, and there is no point in hope.
There’s a lot more for him to learn from Hot Rod than he realizes.

“I’m not sure I can trust you,” said Ultra Magnus, relishing the way Optimus’s faceplate flushed with humiliation. “You’ll have a guard for those two weeks, and you will stay here, in Fortress Maximus, to ensure you don’t try anything creative.” He stepped closer, hating the way Optimus held his ground. “By the way, Optimus—you will succeed in charming Megatron. He was entirely correct when he said the Decepticons have the Allspark. This treaty must succeed.” He leaned forward. “Or I will know exactly at whose stabilizers the blame lies.”
Optimus finds himself betrothed to Megatron, and Megatron a surprisingly courteous suitor. But the Decepticons are afraid of something, a looming threat on the edge of known space...
...and Decepticon machinations may be the least of Optimus's worries.
