"Maybe some other day, chickadee, but, alas, I must return to the other children, as I've heard there are dragons afoot, and I can't leave them unguarded." They both gasp, half delighted, half horrified by the prospect.
"What about us?" Letty whimpers, and Stiles coos a conspiratorial smile.
"Didn't you know? Your uncle's a knight. And the bravest, most fearsome one of all, even the biggest, most terrifying monsters are afraid of him. Why do you think your mother asked him to come pick you up? She knew he would keep you safe, protect you."
They gasp, turning to each other, wide-eyed, awed and with realization dawning, before both girls, like flipping a switch, abruptly become utterly excited and agreeable about the idea of their uncle as a babysitting candidate. Stiles flashes a lop-sided grin over his shoulder at Derek, pleased with his accomplishment, even moreso when he sees the way the man's jaw has dropped.

so. fucking. good.
peter’s growth was so beautifully written and so well thought out. i felt his pain. i felt it when he came to acceptance & unlocked himself from his chains. i absolutely loved wade. so dang patient and caring and just sucha good husband and chief and dad and human. i need me a wade.
god i loved ellie too. this lil bean gonna be sucha fierce leader one day. also lumpy??? i love him toooo!! yay dragons!!!

My new all time favorite story. The illustrations were breathtaking. The storyline was stunning. The character growth was heartbreaking but so very heartwarming and reaffirming. I fell in love w stiles and derek and their mutual understanding of what its like losing your family and how to get through it with love and support. I laughed. I sobbed. I snorted really hard. I felt my heart break multiple times and repiece itself back together. I want a hardcopy of this story, i loved it so much. GOD. and the ILLUSTRATIONS. So absolutely ridiculously breathtaking. The amount of dedication it took to complete this work of art and literature is so commendable. I feel lucky to have read this.

God. I never knew i so desperately needed this fic. Heartbreaking and so fuckin heartwarming. All about how Talia and Richard met as well as Claudia and John. I fell in love w Claudia and absolutely sobbed at her inevitable death. The hales were so beautiful and the backstory was so vital to understanding derek's character. Such a beautiful and well written fic.
A companion fic to Home. But honestly can and should be read alone because wow. The characterizations and storylines were beautiful. -
