Summary
It hits him, then, like anaphylaxis is contagious: his chest feels tight, his breath frozen. He’s mad at Jack for getting so exposed. He’s mad at the patient for bringing in the allergen in the first place. He’s terrified, seeing Jack sweat, hearing Javadi read “90 over 70,” and even as Jack’s breathing begins to slow, and even as his systolic starts climbing, Robby is scared stiff.
Jack mumbles something around the mouthpiece of the nebulizer.
“No,” Robby snaps. “Shut up and breathe.”

Summary
For the first time since starting at PTMC, Jack Abbot hesitated. Langdon and Whitaker were continuing their hurried workups, calling out their findings, seemingly oblivious to their attending frozen next to the gurney. They didn’t see the way he shook, they didn’t see the way his mouth opened and closed as words failed, they didn’t see his blank stare. He couldn’t breathe, he couldn’t think. The world felt too loud, too hectic, too painful. Because right in front of Jack Abbot, lying lifeless on the gurney covered in blood and road burns was Michael Robinavitch.

Summary
' “Hey, bud,” the guy stepped forward, making Jack jump as he crouched down to be level with him, “D’ya need some help? Doorways can be finicky-”
Jack wants to tell him to stand up properly, to not call him ‘bud’, to just fuck off and leave him alone… but the words don’t come. They never do anymore, not properly. Doctors dismissed it as psychological trauma, gave him therapy brochures and shrugged it all off.
The guy was quiet now, clearly waiting for a response that wouldn’t come, maybe an introduction or a request for assistance. His eyebrows were raised in a way that reminded Jack of someone else… someone whose name he just couldn’t recall.
“I should probably introduce myself first, huh?” the guy went on, clearly unfazed by the lack of response – clearly this wasn’t his first rodeo with someone so uncooperative, “My names Michael, I live just next door,” he pointed back behind him to the door that he’d just come out of, not that Jack cared enough to follow his hand, “And I’m guessing you’re my new neighbour, huh?” '
Jack Abbot comes home from the deployment that took his leg, and moves in right next to his old Med School roommate/situationship... not that either of them recognise one another.

“Robby,” she repeated, more stern. “It’s Jack.”

“Oxygen is 94%. Blood pressure 100/64.” Parker announced. Dana walked around the bed, holding an emesis bag close to Jack’s mouth, suction within arm’s reach.
“That’s low for him.” Robby muttered, almost to himself.
“Those are normal vitals.” Parker tried to reassure him.
“They’re low for him, I take his blood pressure every morning.” Robby bit out.
Every head turned to look at him. Robby could feel a subtle flush crawling up his neck and his cheeks.
