Summary
Baz was a vampire living alone in Watford, as he had all his life. He doesn't know much of where he came from, just that he was raised in care, then adopted by other rogue vampires when he came of age. He liked to hang around the Watford School, just to see the Watford students when they snuck out of school. He had dreams of one day finding out where he came from, who his parents were, how he became a vampire, and why he was so drawn to this school.
Then he runs into Simon, a Watford student, and his life turns upside down.

Sometimes, I catch glimpses. They make my brain squeeze and squirm—like my grey matter has been turned to needles. Internal wounds, all memories and blood.
It hurts every time.
I know I had him—whoever he was—erased. I know what it means. At some point, I wanted him gone. Wanted him gone so badly that I was willing to let them wipe everything and leave the slate clean.
There’s no record of an erasure not sticking. No reports of memories ever coming back. Believe me, I’ve checked.
But maybe…maybe some people aren’t meant to be forgotten.
I’ll probably never know.
