Jiang Cheng had known that Lan Wangji wanted to fuck Wei Wuxian. Lan Wangji very, very clearly wanting to do more than just fuck him him was something that Jiang Cheng had taken great pains to pretend wasn’t happening. It was easier to handle if he could diminish it or pretend he didn’t understand it. He does understand it. He understands why both of them would want each other because he wants both of them and doesn’t know how to help himself. Jiang Cheng is going to have a real bitch of a time forcing himself to forget all of this.

“Kid,” Jason interrupted. “Enough statistics. What the hell is this about?”
Robin slowly lowered the tablet with his powerpoint presentation and looked up at Red Hood.
“You care about Gotham,” Robin summarised. “Gotham needs Batman. Batman is missing and so is Nightwing. We need you to fill in for Batman.”
“You want me to cover Batman’s patrols?” Jason clarified.
“No,” Robin said. “I want you to be Batman.”
Jason bluescreened.
(Or: Batman and Nightwing mysteriously disappear before Red Hood has even started antagonising them, Robin is desperate, Gotham needs Batman, and Red Hood is Batman-Shaped.)

“A friend of Wei Ying’s?” It was clear that he was repeating Jiang Cheng’s own words, his tone probing.
So that was what this was about. Jiang Cheng choked on a rush of defensive heat.
“What, feel like I don’t have the right to call myself that?” he asked, and let it sting. He already knew that Lan Wangji didn’t think he’d done enough. Even after he’d found out the truth behind Wei Wuxian’s defection, there’d been no indication that had changed. “Don’t worry. It was for the brat’s benefit. I know Wei Wuxian has different priorities and new friends, these days.”
There was no plan or diplomacy; just the feeling of pressing down on a bruise, and the thought that Lan Wangji could think whatever he wanted about him, as long as he didn’t think he was stupid.

Tim's dad is dead, killed by a boomerang to the chest, and Tim is an orphan now. He knows Bruce would adopt him if needed but he couldn't possibly impose himself on the Wayne's more than he already has. It's okay though, because he has a plan for this, he just needs someone to play the role of his estranged "Uncle Eddie".
Except... the guy he hires is weirdly concerned about his well being and Tim can't figure out why.
Meanwhile, Jason Todd is forced to reevaluate his plans for his debut as Red Hood, because, as it turns out, his replacement is a suicidal idiot who can't be trusted to stay out of trouble.

At the mention of the kiss, Clark’s gaze flickered to Bruce’s lips before they just as quickly darted back up to his eyes. Motor movement in response to involuntary autobiographical memory. There was no meaning behind it.
“It was a favor to an old friend,” Bruce said. Warningly: “Think nothing of it.”
“Bruce,” Clark said, almost helplessly. He’d drawn too close. Bruce could smell the ozone and sunlight scent that clung to Superman and nearly drowned out the light dab of Clark Kent’s cologne at his throat. His eyes were so, so blue.
Bruce placed a hand on his chest and pushed him away. Clark let himself be moved, inexplicably seeming hurt at the new distance created between them.
“Go home to your wife, Clark,” Bruce said softly. Unrelentingly. He watched his tone wash over Clark like a tidal wave of ice water. “Put your son to bed. I’ll send a case file for you to look over tomorrow morning.”

Not nothing. Of course it's not nothing. He likes Bruce. Bruce is one of his closest friends. It isn't that he's forgotten anything, and it isn't that he doesn't know Bruce as well as he ever has, since he came back and got the chance to figure the man out for real.
But the open buttons of Bruce's collar parting over the hollow of his throat, the line of his slacks with his feet crossed like that, the shape of his shoulders under his suit jacket, don't mean anything anymore. There's—there's no shiver to suppress, none of the bright prickling feeling of anticipation that always, always comes with knowing he's about to spend at least half an hour with Bruce, uninterrupted
