Howzer stole our hearts when he appeared in TBB S1 E12, and I wanted to write a bit of a backstory for him. Okay... so uhh... I normally don't get to requests very quickly. And I haven't really been able to write Tech for a while because there's a lot of sadness there. But this idea was so sweet and appealing that I couldn't resist. So I spent two days delighting in the way it was playing out in my mind, and nearly FOUR THOUSAND WORDS LATER (eep!) here we are. While Right To Love Matchmaking Services was helping troopers find their way in love, many troopers still found the transition to regular life challenging. Before they meet Captain Rex for the events in season 7 of TCW, an unexpected addition to their team throws a wrench in the mix, especially for Tech, who finds a particular connection with the disillusioned Padawan-turned-mechanic named Vel.
Let's be honest... this is a slow burn, cheesy romance with just enough immersion in the Star Wars world to give us all a little vacation with one of our favorite clones. No smut, just PG-13 romance and adventure. It's like a mix of Pride and Prejudice and the Jim and Pam dynamic from The Office.
