He’s going to be sick.
Violent burn scars tear into the flesh of Kaeya’s shoulder and a large portion of his collarbone. The skin is rippled, uneven edges to the red scars. There’s a large, thick scar that looks as if it were from a sword. A large one. Diluc’s sword--his claymore.
Diluc wishes he could be anywhere but here now.
He did that.

Kaeya had always suspected his past would come to catch up with him eventually.
It had done so the night he turned his back on the Ragnvindr estate, and right now it seemed to do so once again in the apartment him and Albedo shared. As the cavalry captain had entered, his heart had dropped, the realization hitting him that any place he ever dared to call “home” was most likely cursed in one way or another.
‘You can’t escape your place of origin, Your Highness.’ one of the mages told him. ‘Khaenri’ah, and by extension the Abyss, has always been, and will always be a part of you.’
‘You’re wrong.’ Kaeya argued.
Mondstadt was his home now. He’d made that decision by moving in with Albedo, had he not? By moving in with his lover, he’d made his stay in the city of freedom permanent. He may have still had his doubts, but none of that mattered when he felt like he belonged somewhere.
‘Mhh, well, willing or not, our orders were to bring you home. If you won’t do so out of your own volition, we’ll simply have to use force.’

Summary
Not much is known about Sonic's childhood. Every time the question of where he came from comes up, Sonic either changes the subject or refuses to say anything. Some say his childhood was spent roaming around, never really settling down in one place for too long. Others say that the Hero of Mobius had humble origins and his childhood home was some ordinary village in the middle of nowhere, hence his love for traveling. Whatever the version, it's a chapter of Sonic's life that remains a mystery.
And, honestly, Sonic would prefer to keep that particular chapter of his life closed for good.
But when news of Eggman stirring up trouble on a place called Christmas Island arrives, Sonic is forced to face his past along with his friends who discover that there's more to their cheerful, thrill-seeking, friend than they originally thought.
Memories are relived and demons are unleashed as Sonic and co. soon realize that Eggman might not be the real villain on Christmas Island.

He could hear Yor whisper a small ‘oh’ in response.
“I just got….overwhelmed when I heard you sing it, that’s all” he sheepishly rubbed his hand at the back of his neck “when I was scared about war, when I woke up in the middle of the night because of nightmares or a missile attack or an air raid happening nearby, she used to sing it to me to calm down. I guess…watching you, singing to Anya, taking care of her like that…”
“Reminded you of her” she finished for him, awestruck. He could hear her sob quietly. Yor turned to the other side as well, now facing the door near which Bond slept.
The first time Mr and Mrs. Forger shared a bed was when their daughter was riddled with a terrible nightmare.
