When he finally found Raph, it wasn’t at all how he imagined.
The hot-headed turtle was slouched against the wall, head down and chest heaving, with a deep gash running along his side. His beloved sai lay forgotten beside him, coated in blood.
At the sound of Leo’s footsteps, he lifted his head, relief flashing through his eyes.
“Leo... took ya long enough,” Raph rasped, wincing as he tried to sit up straighter.
Or, Leo finds Raph after he's injured on patrol (guilt and angst ensue!)

Mikey knelt beside the hive, watching the bees flit in and out, their tiny bodies heavy with pollen. Their steady, purposeful movement soothed him, making him feel a little less adrift and uncertain.
“Hey, little dudes,” he whispered, a small smile tugging at his lips. “You guys are working hard today.”
The bees didn’t answer, of course, but Mikey liked to imagine they understood him.
Or, Mikey starts a beehive and talks with the friendly little bees when things get to be too much. A Farmhouse AU.

Leonardo's chest tightened. He had heard these words a thousand times, each repetition grinding away more of his spirit. He struck, fluid and precise, but Splinter's disapproving gaze pierced him once more.
“Again!”
Late that night, as the others slept, Leonardo sat alone in the dojo. He stared at his reflection in his katana, the weight of his father's expectations heavy on his shoulders. He watched as his eyes slowly began to water. The relentless training, the constant correction, and the ever-present demand for obedience and perfection had turned him into a soldier rather than a son and a brother."
Or, Leo finds himself being crushed under the weight of his father's expectations.

The three brothers exchanged wary glances, having smelled the concoction while it was cooking, before gathering around the kitchen table. Mikey placed the pizza in front of them with a flourish.
“Behold, the masterpiece!” he declared.
Or, Mikey tries to make one of his crazy pizzas for his brothers and it doesn't turn out quite right.

“Family picnic,” Peter says.
“Oh, great, great fun,” Tony says and swipes away from the article about Spider-Man wrestling a giant spider on the roof of the Chrysler building.
It’s quite obvious that Tony knows he is Spider-Man, but decided not to acknowledge it; decided to keep the secret going. For what reason, Peter doesn’t know. Maybe Tony thinks he can use the information in his favor, or maybe he just doesn’t want Peter to freak out. Either way, it serves Peter just fine, because Tony tries so hard to keep up his oblivious act that he never prods too hard or looks too deep.
