“You know I love you, right?” Gyuvin suddenly asks, voice as soft as a whisper.
Ricky’s eyes shift into something unreadable as his face goes completely still. He takes a second too long to answer. To anyone else, it’d be meaningless. To Gyuvin, it makes his stomach instantly fall. Like he made a mistake. Like something’s shattered and he won’t be able to put it back together. Like he's in trouble.
“I know.” Ricky’s fingers twitch by his side. Gyuvin doesn’t even say anything about how there’s no ring on his finger. He doesn’t want to imagine why. He isn’t sure he can handle it right now. “I love you, too.”
That’s a pretty good example of how things are lately.
Gyuvin and Ricky have been best friends for over thirteen years. When they start drifting apart, Gyuvin starts to wonder where everything went wrong.

“Right,” Ricky drops to his knees with a laugh. Gyuvin doesn’t know if he’s imagining the hollow echo in Ricky’s mirth, but the untethered thought flies away as soon as the other touches him.
In which Gyuvin has been driven sick with guilt ever since he was old enough to realize he doesn’t fit in with the world.

Oh, so Nicholas is wearing that to do laundry. That’s… cool. Euijoo doesn’t have an opinion on this at all, mostly because his brain is lagging like it’s on one bar of wifi. He wants to say that Nicholas looks nice, but instead just gives him a thumbs up. Euijoo quietly gets his laptop out of his backpack and considers dropping out of school.
