Summary
Laios inhaled sharply, and let out a delighted sigh as he exhaled. “Your butt smells really nice, by the way,” he remarked as he poked the tip of his nose into the hole, his nostrils flaring and twitching, sniffing wildly like a hunting dog on a trail. “Honestly, you smell good all over, though. I don't really know how to describe it, but it's pretty awesome. Totally hot. I guess that's because of the pheromones and stuff,” he went on rambling nonsensically as he buried his face between Kabru's cheeks, which made his voice sound kind of muffled. Well, it wasn't as if he was saying anything that important. Honestly, it may have been for the better if Kabru didn't hear him. Hell, it would have been even better if he stopped talking altogether. It only seemed to make things more awkward every time. Kabru said that he was good at dirty talk, but Laios couldn't shake the feeling that he was just humouring him. If only he could come up with more normal things to say, he wouldn't have to worry about ruining the mood, but that wasn't how his mind worked at all. “Hey, Kabru...” he murmured under his breath, furrowing his brow, “...do you think I'm a pervert?”

Summary
Kabru put his hands on Laios' knees to steady himself and adjusted the position of his hips so that the bulge would be laid precisely between his cheeks before gradually increasing the pressure, drawing a gasp out of Laios in the process. He began experimentally moving his hips back and forth, rubbing his butt against the bulge, all the while studying Laios' reactions from the corner of his eye. He was still staring at Kabru's rear, as if hypnotised, breathing heavily through his parted lips, a thin string of saliva dripping out of the corner of his mouth. His face was flushed a deep shade of red, the blush reaching up to his sweat-drenched forehead and the tips of his ears. His hands lay atop his chest, their fingertips digging into the skin as if he were trying to tear his own heart out. It would probably be a good idea to give him something to do with his hands, Kabru reckoned, lest he actually injure himself. “Laios, my love,” he prompted in a gentle voice, sending Laios a sensual look from beneath his lowered eyelids, “I can't quite get the right angle on my own. Could you please hold it straight for me?” he asked, nodding towards his groin.

Summary
Somewhat predictably, Laios seemed to have every existing werewolf movie in his collection, seemingly ranked according to his preference for their depictions of wolf-men – yet another thing for Kabru to ask him about later. While his preference for werewolves was extremely obvious, his taste was actually quite diverse, including stories about vampires, aliens and dinosaurs, amongst other things. A lot of the movies in his collection were so obscure that Kabru had never heard of them – then again, he wasn't that knowledgeable about monster movies to begin with. He was quite happy to have spotted the original versions of Frankenstein and Dracula amongst them (one had to wonder if Laios had read the books those movies were based on; Kabru was inclined to think so, in which case he would have liked to hear his thoughts on the differences between them), along with a number of movies he was at least somewhat familiar with despite never having seen them, such as Jurassic Park and Planet of the Apes. Notably, the collection was missing the movie Jaws – perhaps Laios was amongst the people who found its depiction of sharks so inaccurate as to be offensive.

Summary
Laios finally managed to swallow his crepe, pounding on his chest to make it go down easier. He put his hand over his mouth to muffle a burp and sent Kabru an apologetic glance prompting him to snort with amusement and point at his mouth to indicate that there was whipped cream on it. Laios stuck his tongue out to lick it off and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand for good measure, earning him a thumbs-up from Kabru. With a sigh of relief, Laios went to pick up another crepe. “You know,” he prompted, swirling hazelnut spread on his crepe, “now that you brought it up, I'm kind of curious what it is that you do when you go out on Sundays. Obviously you don't have to tell me if you don't want to,” he added quickly, “but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.”

Summary
Laios lightly shook his head and looked up at Kabru again. A pair of blue eyes met his, big, bright and beautiful, framed by long, dark eyelashes, staring at him intently without blinking. A shudder passed through Laios' body and his penis twitched involuntarily. Whenever Kabru looked at him like that, it activated some kind of primal instinct within him, akin to fight or flight, but significantly more embarrassing, not to mention detrimental to his actual chances of survival in the event that he was actually in danger. Getting a boner was definitely not an appropriate response in this situation. He could count himself lucky that Kabru wasn't actually going to take advantage of this momentary distraction – although the idea of him doing that was admittedly pretty hot. Ah, maybe they could play out that scenario another time. Kabru would probably like that, as long as he wouldn't have to actually suck Laios' blood or whatever (then again, Laios wouldn't put it past him to enjoy that too, if he managed to convince him that it didn't hurt). Laios shook his head again. “Good morning…” he murmured, blinking slowly. “...Are we going to wrestle or something?”

Summary
Slowly but surely, Laios managed to convince himself that he didn't need friends because he was better off alone, anyway. He buried his desire for connection at the bottom of his heart, along with all the other things that would forever be out of his reach and therefore were better left unacknowledged. His loneliness had become a protective cocoon that he withdrew further and further into as he grew older, safe and familiar – and terrible. While the people around him formed all kinds of relationships with each other, he remained painfully alone, and however hard he tried to convince himself that it was entirely by choice, he knew that it wasn't. There was something wrong with him, there must have been. Even Falin managed to find somebody she wanted to spend time with, but he still hadn't. After all these years, there still wasn't anybody he was close enough with to want to hang out with them outside of work, let alone bringing them to his house.

Summary
“Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team!” Laios exclaimed, beaming. So it was Pokémon, then. Perhaps he should have guessed that. “I found the cartridge when I was looking through my stuff earlier. I totally forgot that I had it! It's been a while,” he mused dreamily, in a tone of deep fondness, stroking the sides of the console with his index fingers. “I'm super glad that it still works. Last time I played it, I named my partner after Falin. I figured that I might as well start a new save so that I can make you my partner this time.” Kabru's heart leapt in his chest. He was not expecting to be an active participant in the game, and now his interest was piqued. Laios went on babbling: “It took me a while to figure out that I needed to delete the old save first, but that's done now, so we're good to go. The thing I totally forgot about until now,” he added, “is that you don't get to choose which Pokémon you wanna play as at the beginning of the game. Instead they make you take a quiz to determine which one suits your personality best. So I'm gonna have to do that first.”

Summary
With a light nod, Kabru moved aside, allowing Laios to spread the towel on top of the bedsheets. Once the task was done, he rolled back into his previous position, all the while stroking his shaft. “I'm glad that you're finally back. I was starting to miss you,” he said, fondly but with a hint of complaint. Laios apologetically bowed his head as he positioned himself between Kabru’s legs, his hands gripping his thighs in an effort to restrain himself from touching Kabru without permission. How polite! Kabru moved his foot in front of Laios’ face and poked his nose with his big toe. Laios licked his lips, his eyes fixed on Kabru’s toes with a look of deep fascination and hunger. Kabru studied him with discreet amusement. Was Laios into feet? That would be a little surprising, all things considered. One would expect him to be more interested in paws, or hooves, anything of that sort, rather than human feet, though perhaps he may have been able to settle for them in a pinch, imagining that they were something else. Or maybe he was interested in Kabru’s feet in particular, simply because they were a part of his body. That was certainly a flattering thought.

Summary
Kabru's lips curled into a smile. “What have we here, hm?” he murmured, running his fingers along the length of the shaft, which swelled and twitched in response to his touch. “Somebody's happy to see me, it seems,” he added with a playful twinkle in his eye, looking up at Laios, who gave a nod. It was impressive just how quickly and how thoroughly he turned red. The pinkish stain spread from his cheeks to the very tips of his ears, it spilled all over his chest, from his shoulders to his cleavage, it tinted his elbows and each of his fingers and toes, and created a heart shaped patch around his navel. One could mistake it for a sunburn at a glance, or perhaps a symptom of a fever, but thankfully it was nowhere near as dangerous – and much more charming. Kabru nodded towards Laios' crotch. “May I see it?” he asked, pinching the waistband of Laios' boxers between his fingers. Laios gave another nod, his blush deepening. Success.

Summary
Laios had never seen anybody as beautiful as Kabru, in person or in pictures, not even amongst the beast-man that populated his mind. There was something distinctly feline about his features, maybe the shape of his face, with its full cheeks and triangular chin, or maybe his eyes, big and cautious, and so bright that he wouldn't be surprised if they could glow in the dark, or the shape of his mouth when it curled into a smile; he wanted to figure it out to be able to incorporate it into his fursona. Kabru's bushy eyebrows were styled into two thick, neat, symmetrical lines, complimenting the shape of his eyes pretty well. His long, dark, slightly curled eyelashes cast shade on his cheeks every time he blinked. There were dark circles under his eyes, but one couldn't really tell unless they looked very closely. His skin was really smooth, with some barely-visible fluff on his upper lip and a bit of fuzz on his chin and cheeks, and absolutely no zits or pimples – lucky.

Summary
“Nice clouds, huh,” he prompted, attaching himself to the idea. Indeed, there were a lot of clouds in the sky, the white, fluffy kind that always reminded him of sheep and made him want to touch them to check if they'd be as soft as he thought. “That one looks like a bear, see?” he said, pointing at a large cloud passing by. “It's raising its paws like this,” he insisted, mimicking the pose.
“Really? I thought that it looked more like someone sitting in an armchair.”
Laios knitted his eyebrows. “Armchair? Where did you get that from?” He squinted at the cloud, tilting his head this way and that in an attempt to see Kabru's vision. “I guess you read the paws as the armrests, huh? But what about the head? It totally has ears!”
“I suppose you're right,” Kabru admitted. “Perhaps it is a bear-man sitting in an armchair.”

Summary
Suddenly Kabru glanced past the girl's shoulder and fixed his gaze on Laios' hiding spot, his expression instantly softening into a fond, tender smile, his eyes lighting up with the joy of recognition. The whole thing only lasted for a split second before Kabru's face returned to normal as he reluctantly turned his attention to the girl again, but it was enough for Laios to forget all about whatever worries he may have had just a moment ago. His chest swelled with pride, a curious warmth spreading through his body. It felt pretty incredible to have someone like Kabru look at him with so much affection, to be able to tell just how happy he was to see him by the way he smiled at him, to remember that he willingly chose to be with him, Laios, of all people.

Summary
Toshiro braced himself as he pulled the door handle. Laios had developed an almost supernatural ability to recognise his footsteps even when he was on the opposite end of the house and wearing headphones. Whenever Toshiro came home, there was a high chance that Laios would already be waiting for him at the door, and proceed to ramble incessantly while he attempted to take off his shoes. It had been happening less frequently as of late – once again, that must've been Kabru’s influence – but the primal fear that had been instilled in him for the past year remained. Toshiro took a deep breath as he opened the door, but the impact he braced himself for did not hit him. The hallway was empty. The first horrible thought that passed through his head was that Laios left without locking the door, but after a moment he managed to make out a soft whistling sound from the kitchen, and promptly released the breath he'd been holding. Careful not to make a sound that could alert Laios to his presence, he took off his shoes and tip-toed past the kitchen on his way to his bedroom, sending a curious glance inside as he went.

Summary
The path from Laios' house to the campus made for quite a pleasant, leisurely stroll. Kabru clung on to Laios' arm, his cheek leaning against his shoulder. When that proved to make walking in a straight line quite difficult, he switched to holding his hand, letting their arms swing back and forth according to the rhythm of their steps. Laios took it in stride; his mind was occupied by the birdsong, which he'd been trying to recreate for the past minute or so since he heard it. Perhaps he was planning to incorporate it into his mating song and dance performance for Kabru – now that would be something to behold! Laios was a decent whistler, Kabru thought as he watched him from the corner of his eye, wholeheartedly rooting for the melody to hit the right notes.

Summary
Whenever Kabru slept at Laios' place, he would be woken up by the first rays of sunlight seeping through the curtains, which was far more pleasant than being shaken awake by a random impulse and forced to find his watch in order to figure out if he'd been unconscious for five hours or fifteen, and even then he could not be entirely sure until he went outside. As it turned out, it was much easier to organise one's day when one could personally trace the trajectory of the Sun by simply looking out the window. To say nothing of the benefit of having slept for the recommended eight hours without interruption, which made a world of difference for his ability to move around without immediately getting light-headed. Better yet, by virtue of waking up early, he and Laios could afford to spend some precious moments lingering in bed, cuddling under the blanket while they exchanged messy, awkward kisses and intimate whispers punctuated by a cavalcade of yawns.

Summary
Laios' face looked exceptionally soft in the early morning light which gave his skin a kind of ethereal glow, and his resting expression was that of perfect contentment and relaxation. His lips were slightly parted, letting out soft, quiet breaths. There was a bubble of saliva in the corner of his mouth, stretched into a wide smile. The skin around his nostrils was lightly flushed, as were his cheeks and the tips of his ears. His dark brown eyelashes fluttered occasionally, briefly turning golden in the pale light. Kabru wished that he could peer inside his brain to see what he was dreaming about. Whatever it was, he seemed to be enjoying it. Yesterday he dreamed about flying – perhaps he discovered another ability this time, such as breathing fire or summoning lightning.

Summary
This must have been the part of the mating ritual where, after a successful marking, the mating pair would retire to their love nest to rest and enjoy the physical proximity of their bodies, sharing warmth and reinforcing the strength of their bond. A part of him found it even more intimate than what came before. Obviously, getting to mate with Kabru was really special, too, but there was something really comforting, and almost overwhelmingly touching, about knowing that Kabru wanted to stay by his side long after the fun was over, to hold him as close as he did, as if he wasn't ever going to let go, even though he could have easily left and pretended that nothing like that ever happened between them. Hell, Laios wouldn't have even blamed him for that. There were a bunch of reasons why he may have changed his mind. But Kabru decided to stay, which confirmed that he really was committed to being Laios' mate, his mate for life, just like he promised earlier.

Summary
A look of surprise passed through Kabru's face and quickly disappeared. “That's true. Let's see...” he murmured, stroking his bottom lip with his index finger. It seemed like he was giving the matter serious consideration – or he was stalling because he couldn't come up with anything. Laios wouldn't fault him for that. It wasn't as if he was good at making these kinds of decisions. He only managed to settle on his choice for the first round because it was the closest thing to the mating position for wolves, and it only felt right for that to be the way Kabru would claim him as his mate. Otherwise, he was at a loss, not so much because he didn't have ideas – if anything, he had too many – but because he wasn't sure how many of them were even physically possible to achieve. After a moment of silence, Kabru gave a nod, his lips curling into a smile as he patted his lap, to the left of the penis sticking out of his boxers. “Come here, boy,” he beckoned, making kissy noises and clicking his tongue. Sometimes Laios felt tempted to ask if he was absolutely sure that he never had a dog. Either way, he was pretty good at playing the role of a dog owner.

Summary
“Whoaaaaa! Sooooo cool!!” he exclaimed excitedly, his eyes twinkling with awe. “Awesome, awesome! What's it made of, anyway? It looks totally real! Feels real, too!” he gushed, subconsciously shaking his hands and kicking his feet as he spoke. “Ah, but the pubes are actually yours, right?” he added, looking past the shaft at the thick mass of fluffy, curly hair that covered everything from Kabru’s belly button to the base of his penis, and probably a fair bit more that was hidden in his boxers. Laios wanted nothing more than to bury his face in it and sniff to his heart's content, but that would have to wait. With his hand over his mouth to hide his smile, Kabru nodded, confirming his words. Laios grinned. “Awesome. By the way, how does it stay in place? Is it glued on or something?” It would probably hurt like hell to take off, if that were the case, but Laios couldn't figure out what else it could have been. There didn't seem to be a belt or anything like that holding it in place, and he doubted that the boxers would be enough to do the job.

Summary
“Indeed, we did,” Kabru murmured, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. As his anxiety faded, his chest swelled with pride and euphoria, and an almost overwhelming fondness for Laios. He studied his body with shameless adoration, idly running his index finger along his spine. Everything about Laios was so endearing, so precious, so dear to him. The short, spiky hair, the visible veins in his ears, the faint stripe of sunburn on the nape of his neck. His rounded shoulders, dusted with golden freckles, his wide, smooth, muscular back, with the subtle leftward tilt of the spine and the rolls of fat at his sides, a perfect place to put one's hands. The intricate network of faint scars of mysterious origin, only visible in certain lighting, and the light brown fuzz growing all over his body, more easily identifiable by touch than sight. The subtle curve of his hips and the firmness of his thick, toned thighs, and, last but certainly not least, his glorious derrière. Kabru couldn't help but stare at it, utterly mesmerised, and once he realised what he was doing, he abruptly averted his gaze and cleared his throat, feeling his cheeks burn.
