A comfortable silence passed between them as they gazed at the Earth below. Orbiting over East Asia at dusk, the civilization beneath them emitted a warm glow. Lights dotted the landscape, concentrated in major cities and extending like veins across rural areas, pulsing and glimmering with life.
Riku looked over to Sora. While the perspective of the planet beneath his feet had been magnificent, Riku realized the most breathtaking view was in the reflection of Sora's eyes. Nothing could compare.
ASTRONAUT AU!
Sora is an enthusiastic environmental scientist, while Riku is a reserved engineer. Both are stationed on the International Space Station, orbiting the Earth in close quarters for the next six months.
How will they adjust to a life free from the weight of gravity and Earthly expectations?

Summary
Of all the creatures Sora encountered on his journey, he never expected that the most hateful would be found on his home world in the form of homophobic high-school bullies. On top of dealing with that, Sora has been seeing strange creatures similar to heartless everywhere, which seem tied to him somehow, and has been struggling with thoughts he doesn't understand—some good, some not so good. Of course, he's going to keep all of this to himself, as he doesn't want to worry anyone.
Riku arrived home to discover he has a little sister—one who can use magic and to whom Kairi accidentally bequeathed a keyblade. He can also tell Sora is obviously hiding things, and is immensely worried. He wants to help Sora, but isn't sure how...
And of course, through this all, Riku and Sora are untangling their own feelings for each other.

“Sora! I’m back,” Riku called into the dark apartment as he closed the door behind him. He took off his shoes and set them neatly next to the front door before moving to the kitchen to set the bag of food down on the counter. Every room was dark, which was strange. There was no way Sora had gone to bed, he always waited for Riku to get home no matter how late he was out.
The silver haired man moved to head down the hallway, not seeing any lights on under any doors except the one to their room. He approached the door and went to reach for the knob before pausing.
“Riku…” he heard come through the door. It was definitely Sora’s voice, and the way he said his name indicated something that had Riku shivering. “Riku…”
Riku bit his lip and silently pressed the door open just enough to peek inside, his eyes immediately catching his fiance on their bed. His mouth ran dry at the sight.
