“It’s not just that,” Guest says, but unlike Expendable, he is telling with his tone. It is just that, John thinks. “I suppose ‘m also worried about him.”
“He’s not the green witch,” Expendable responds. His tone ends high, like there is a joke there that makes sense. Guest laughs like it does make sense, and John squeezes his eyes tighter together and pretends like he never woke for their conversation to begin with. “He won’t die if we—like. Throw him in a bath.”

Still, Poob answers—and Pest, true to form, starts a fight. Loud, bratty, pointless.
Except something’s wrong. His voice is off. His breathing's too shallow. There’s a crack in every insult, like he’s barely holding something in.Then it clicks.

Poob stood leaning on the doorway, maw agape, their mind rapidly flashing through the different ways this scenario could end. Pest would hate them for this, right? He had to. No sane person would remain in contact with someone upon finding their own photo, resting sweetly beside an entire vibrator, in their friend's drawer. They opened their mouth as if to defend themself, or perhaps come up with an explanation, but he was unable to conjure anything from his throat.
Fortunately for Poob, Pest was not a normal person. Instead, his hardness could be seen protruding from his jeans.

Sebastian takes the them in with a deal, making them work for the safety and freedom he promises. Now that Sebastian has someone new to look after, someone unfamiliar with their new and painful body, the stakes are raised as he chases freedom from Urbanshade.

Sebastian, for his part, provided you with equipment to help with your task to secure the Crystal (for the right price, of course). And he seemed to tolerate you a touch more than the others, if your conversations were anything to go by. He was a man of stale platitudes towards others, and a certified well of sass towards you. Perhaps it was the way he showed affection.
In any case, throughout all the runs piling up (and your deaths stacking high), some sort of camaraderie had manifested between the two of you. A gallows-like rapport as two beings whose fates had been played with by the very same company that sent-- and held-- them down here.
So of course, like the absolute genius you were, you decided to wield the hammer that was your big mouth and try to smash that carefully cultivated camaraderie to bits.

Killing p.AI.nter could certainly make for an interesting change of pace, and normally that would be more than enough to pique your interest, but there would be no point. Not now, anyway. Nothing you do ever sticks around for long enough to matter, and you’d rather not get on Sebastian’s bad side if you can help it. He’s never killed you before, but you’re no fool. He’s got a nasty set of claws and a bad temper to match; you’re not about to tango with that, especially not when he’s one of the few willing to go out of his way to do you a favour. No biting the hand, or whatever. High risk, low reward, and definitely not worth the hassle.
Maybe sparing p.AI.nter wasn't such a good idea.
