Not to mention that their writing style is so enamoured with Keats that it lacks any distinction of its own. What do you think of it?"
Jon does not seem to have given the man the intellectual stimulation that he's looking for.
"Oh…" His eyebrows are nearing his hairline. His front teeth overlap, Jon notes when he offers a nervous smile. That's quite cute. "Um, I- I wrote it?"

"Ed finally saw why the club was called Bottoms as they were led into a larger room. There were rows of people with their lower halves on display, just ready to be fucked, their upper halves and faces hidden by what looked like some sort of private pod attached to a wall. Some were standing bent over, while others were laying down, their legs up in stirrups. The light was dimmed down to a soft glow, and there was music playing loud enough to muffle the sounds of skin slapping against skin, but not so loud that they’d have to yell to hear each other."

Ed's had a crush on his boss Stede ever since he started working for him a year ago. When he gets the perfect opportunity to get the crush out of his system, he takes it. He doesn't count on it being such a good experience that he can't stop thinking about it.

In Stede’s defense, it was extremely well-camouflaged and he didn’t notice it until he quite literally stumbled upon it in the brambles.
In Stede’s defense, when one comes across something that pretty and that fascinating, one can’t help but pick it up (gently!) to examine it.

When Stede Bonnet accidentally picks up swan-person Edward Teach’s skin, they’re forced to marry to fulfill the bond that that’s trapped swan-folk for time immemorial.

In the hunt for a legendary treasure, Blackbeard & his crew are cursed to become selkies, only able to transform back into their human selves one night every seven years. There is allegedly a way to break the curse, however after fourteen years, the crew are no closer to figuring out how to do so, with the exception of one: Fang.
After hearing how Fang broke his curse, Ed plans to trap a stranger into taking his sealskin so he can kill them and be free of this wretched curse. However the person who takes it is the last person Ed ever thinks he can go through with killing - the kind-hearted blonde man who rows out every day to talk to his seal friend, clueless to the fact that he's been charming infamous pirate Blackbeard.

On New Year’s Eve, the two make a drunken pact: THIS is the year they’ll find love. If by the end of the year they haven't fallen in love with someone, they’ll marry each other, just to finally have a partner. No cowering. They vow to help each other find their “Mr. Right.”
But as the months go by, both start to wonder: has he been in front of me the whole time?

While Ed is trying to figure out how to walk back an out-and-out lie about having a boyfriend, he runs into former classmate Stede Bonnet — a certified snack who Ed had his eye on back in the day, but the rules of high school were very clear: goths and jocks don’t mix. Not even dorky, sexy jocks.
When Stede hears about Ed's dilemma, he offers a solution to both their problems:

He'd seen him throughout the day, of course, what with only five or so other new faculty at the orientation, but they'd not been partnered up in any of the icebreakers or placed into the same small discussion group during lunch.

It's Jon's first year as a professor at Magnus University, where he thinks his fellow committee member is out to get him. Rather, Martin thinks they got off on an awkward foot but reconcile quickly and end up flirting at every meeting.
