    The TV before the two plays a celebrity gossip channel and it’s currently losing its shit over how two pro heroes in the top ten rankings are dating each other.

    “Us dating is that powerful?”

    “They should be glad this is all fake,” snarks Kacchan. He’s looking way too self-satisfied about this whole thing; it kind of looks like how he smiles when he beats up a villain to a bloody pulp. His expression’s pretty downright sinister. “If we were really dating, the whole world would be on fuckin’ fire.”

    Izuku snorts, switching the channel, “more like the whole world would be on fire before we start actually dating.”

    Katsuki Bakugo wasn't expecting his friends to send him a 'Cuddle Buddy' for his birthday, but quite despite himself, he suprisingly liked the service when the man who knocked on his door was cute, freckly, and good at his job.

    After he ended up calling this 'Deku' guy back for more cuddling services, he found himself hoping that at least some of Izuku's kind words and gestures were real.

    He also hoped that the fact that he couldn't stop thinking about the cute freckled man wouldn't become a problem.

    Katsuki is a firefighter in desperate need of cuddling and Izuku is a grad student who works for a cuddling service for some extra cash. Feelings ensue.

    “Cold?” Bakugou teased, eyeing Deku.

    “Yeah.” He couldn’t let Bakugou figure out what was happening. Or any of the others, for that matter. Maybe he could tell Todoroki since they had always been close, but Deku didn’t want anyone to know how weak he really was.

    “You good, man?” Sero asked, leaning forward to look at him better. “You seem a bit pale.”

    “It’s the lighting,” Deku deflected. He knew Sero was right; he could feel the blood draining from his face as the pain continued on. It had spread from his arm to his entire body. His arm and back were the main things bothering him, but his entire body was throbbing with a dull ache. Advil didn’t do jack shit, and neither did Tylenol.

    “I dunno. You look awful. No offense.” Kaminari looked at him, his brows furrowed in worry.

    “Yeah, if you’re not feeling well, you can tell us,” Kirishima pressed.

    “I’m fine, guys, really. Just tired. That’s all.” Part of him felt bad for lying to them, but it was better than telling the truth.

    “If you say so.” Kirishima obviously didn’t believe him, but he thankfully dropped the topic.

    Or, Deku has a flare-up and tries to keep it to himself.

    A normal weekend passes and Izuku returns to the dorms for the night. He's surprised to find somebody there that he doesn't recognize. Must be a friend of a classmate's.

    Wait. What do you mean he should know Bakugou Katsuki? Surely he would remember having met such an attractive person before, right?!

    In which Izuku is the latest in a string of victims who have mysteriously forgotten somebody and cannot be told what his relationship to Katsuki is or his condition may get worse. Fortunately, spending time around the one he's forgotten might be able to help him get better. Unfortunately, not remembering Katsuki just means that Izuku no longer has any of the emotional defenses he's developed for dealing with the hot blond.
