This wall with ordinary photographs often made Adam stop in his tracks. It was just...something different. Maybe because it was probably the most normal thing in this house. Maybe because Adam never had any family pictures like this. Maybe because even though the Lynch family had been far from perfect, this was a reminder that there was always love and laughter here. Maybe because it was what a family actually looked like.

In Adam's silence, Maura reached across the table and squeezed his hand gently. He couldn't speak. Calla eyed him from the other end of the table with her trademark furrowed brow and Gwenllian continued to stare into her empty tea cup like she could see something at the bottom of it. Somewhere else in the farmhouse, Ronan and Opal were moving about but it felt like Adam's entire universe had shrank down into the space taken up by that one question.
"Yes," Adam whispered without meaning to, "I, I can feel the ley line but I didn't think it would be any more than that once Cabeswater was gone. I didn't think I could do anything."
"That's because you're an idiot, Coca-Cola shirt," Calla said, jabbing an accusing finger at him.
