I am so emotional about this fucking fic… Azula redemption… save me Azula redemption
Anyway yeah I love the Fire Hazard siblings in this one. The fact that this has my two favorite ATLA fic tropes (Zukka and Azula redemption) pulled off FLAWLESSLY means that this is one of the all-time greats for me. I especially love how Azula’s redemption is gradual and not instant despite her having a lot more outward love for Zuko. I like how she lies to herself… my baby
Also, the prose in this fic flows so flawlessly and creates such an immersive state. The pace is so deliberate, I feel like I’m being spun like a thread when I’m reading this fic.
This is a masterpiece as far as I’m concerned. This achieves things only its fanfic can achieve. An absolutely excellent use of the medium, one of the great arguments for why AO3 should even exist.

The BEST enemies to lovers!!! The chemistry between Zuko and Sokka in this fic is UNREAL, I loveee how they slowly fall in love with each other and the “oh shit” moment Sokka has. In this fic, Sokka comes along during the events of “Zuko Alone,” (among other things) which is absolutely incredible. There’s also a homoerotic sparring scene which is always great.
I wish I could peer into Zuko’s brain in this one and I wish there were a sequel. Need to inject this fic directly into my brain… that will fix me…

He gambles that Spock is the same about his mother, and it pays off.
(Or, the one where Jim has a Vulcan daughter, and it leads to all sorts of emotions.)

This fic is the BEST “Dream Sex” fic. Everyone else go home, no one can do that trope better than this fic
Hob and Dream have such a hot and emotionally compelling relationship in this fic. The flashes into Hob’s dreams with Morpheus over the years are so delicious. Dream is put into vulnerable situations while Hob is there, which is always fun. The only problem with the Dreamling in this fic is that there isn’t more of it!
Also Jessamy gets saved!! HELL YEA

Has a very nuanced and complex depiction of (young) William Afton. He really does earn his redemption in this fic, in a slow burn kind of way.
There’s a bunch of weird alternate universe shenanigans going on in this fic that don’t make a lot of sense if you wanna be nitpicky, but they serve the themes well and add a lot of drama so I live for it.
Michael/Jeremy is something I never knew I needed but (SPOILER) the lovely eighties teen romance in the latter part of this fic is so delightful.

The identity porn in this fic drives me insane (in a really good way). Bruce and Clark have crazy, CRAZY chemistry in this one. This is everything I was looking for as a Superbat shipper.
I haven’t watched this version of Superman in a long time so IDK if this was in canon but his conflict surrounding the titular Music of the Spheres is so intriguing.
They are so so lonely in this one and they find refuge in one another! Delicious. I am obsessed.

This is THE Merlin reincarnation fic.
The worldbuilding in this one is brilliant, and I think the author bottled everything delightful about the canon characters and poured into their cauldron when they cooked this fic up.
I love how sweet Merlin is in this fic. It heals my heart after how jaded he became in the last few seasons of canon.
Worth a read even if you haven’t seen Merlin.

Author is so real for merging Doctor Who with Kingsman. Eggsy living in a London regularly visited by aliens is painfully in character.
Super heartwrenching writing about how Eggsy mourns Harry, and then his original life.
Really fun OCs. I got legitimately invested in Lancelot.
The smut in this one is so elegant. I’m ace; I don’t really get into fic to goon, so this approach is perfect for me. It’s hot but not porny, more two guys in a situation than gratuitous sex. (I make no moral position on gratuitous sex, I just don’t enjoy it in fic.)

The ultimate Harry Potter time travel fic I fear…
Long after I lost any love for that franchise, I still think of this fic fondly.This one has a little weird underage sexuality thing going on but technically everyone is consenting? If it makes you uncomfy just overlook it for the banging plot and the genius time travel twists and turns.
Has a lot of interesting analysis about the realistic ramifications of time travel. Really good worldbuilding re: magic system. Honestly better worldbuilding than the actual HP author, who is a TERF anyway so fuck her.
This one has Percy Weasley redemption. I didn’t even know I needed that until this fic.
