Summary
Marinette Dupain-Cheng has always known she was a little different from others. After all, normal teenagers don't moonlight as superheroes, float when they're happy, play babysitter to sixteen tiny gods, or shoot glowing blue beams from their hands when they're angry. Nevertheless, she has tried very hard to have a normal life - even when she's running on empty and all her friends seem to hate her. Her saving grace is her boyfriend, Adrien Agreste, and her superhero partner, Chat Noir, the two people she trusts most in the world. But when they betray her, she decides it was a mistake to trust anyone and flees to America to protect herself and her charges. Stumbling across Gotham's vigilantes is a blessing and a curse for the untrained superheroine, but as time passes she finds a curious sort of companionship among them - especially Nightwing and Starfire. It feels almost like family, but can someone really be family if you don't know who they are below the mask?

The traveler is sitting on one of the bar stools, Paimon floating next to them. Kaeya can see the them moving their hands around animatedly as they recount the tales of their latest adventure, he bets. Most likely Inazuma. But what really sets him off is Diluc's smile. Diluc's hand seems to move in slow motion as he pats the traveler's head, and the traveler wears a proud look on their face.
Kaeya wants to throw up. He wants to stab himself, over and over until his body drains of his blood. He wants to drink something poisonous, feel it lace through and incinerate every vein and artery in his body. Archons, he wants to be anywhere but here right now.
Because that was the way Diluc looked at him when they were younger. When Kaeya learned something new in Mondstadtian and wanted to show it off to his big brother. When he finally learned how to ride a horse. When he could master the sword the way Diluc could master his claymore. It was Diluc and Kaeya, not anyone else.
Alternatively, Kaeya gets jealous.

Annabeth and Percy have been to Tartarus, they have survived seventeen years under the gods' rule and now they must decide. Luke had also been their age when he finally turned, and everyone knows demigods never lived long.
