Summary
Hopper had known of Steve Harrington from many people around town, the constant ragers being thrown at his house, his achievement in sports that– for some reason– made him a town celebrity, and his parents. The Harringtons were Hawkins, Indiana’s American sweethearts. Chicago businessman dad, housewife and mom, and the athlete son. They really were the picture perfect family to everyone. Except for the constant noise complaint calls, and the lack of any adult figure around a sixteen year old Steve Harrington. You notice things when you have seen enough cases; things that other people either don’t notice or choose not to act on.

Summary
The moment he sees the ceramic plate rush towards his head, he knows Billy Hargrove is going to kill him. Not his dad, not a Demogorgon or a Demodog, not even that freaky Mind Flayer thing the kids said is controlling Will but Billy fucking Hargrove. He would laugh but he doesn’t have time before the plate shatters on the left side of his head.
Steve Harrington is just a guy with a heart of gold and awesome hair. And a lot of times, that heart of gold gets him into trouble. This time, he gets rewarded for his good deeds with some head trauma that changes everything for him.

Summary
They’re going to kill him.
Time slows as Wheeler adjusts her aim. She tilts her head, a singular eye closing, and Eddie does the only thing he can think of.
He steps in front.
A shot reverberates through the clearing, and he flinches. Nobody breathes. You could cut the quiet with a fucking butterknife. Eddie releases a shuddering breath and pats down his chest, hands shaking so bad that he probably wouldn’t feel it even if he were hit. He falls to his knees when they come back clean.
Nancy stands there, gun jerked high with wide eyes. She pants, swallowing thickly before fury breaks her calm. “Eddie?! What the hell are you doing-!”
“IT’S STEVE!!” Eddie shouts. His arms shake as the Demowolf bleeds sluggishly behind him. “IT’S STEVE! IT’S STEVE GODDAMN'T!!”

Summary
“Steve!” Dustin hisses. “You’re literally Rapunzel!”
“I am not!”
“Yes, you are!”
“How can I be Rapunzel if I’m standing right here, dipshit?” Steve fires back. “I’ve been driving you shitheads around all week! My Dad’s an asshole, sure, but wouldn’t I be locked up in some-some tower right now if I were Rapunzel!”
“But there are locks,” Hopper interrupts. “On all your windows, your clothes, your door.” Rage claws at his throat, ready to roar and tear into Richard Harrington. “Lucas said there’s no handle on the inside of your room.” Who modifies a door to trap a child?
Steve stares, slack-jawed as if he hit him. The boy closes his eyes, hands running through his hair, and the room falls quiet. “Ok,” he says after a moment. “I know how it looks, but my Dad switches to a regular handle when they leave. I’m not exactly stuck. And he only locks the door when I’m grounded!”

Steve’s father, while often away, is very controlling. Steve doesn’t see it, and everyone else worries.

Summary
The color drains completely from Robin's cheeks. “Holy,” she breathes, and her eyes find his. “Y-you’re telling the truth? You’re really a genie?”
“A Jinn,” Steve corrects, but his hands are shaking.
She flips through the contract, her brow furrowing the more she reads. She works her way slowly through the restrictions and stops on the third page. Her eyes go back to the top, disbelief growing with each word.
“Fuck,” Robin gasps, and her wide eyes find his. “A child? They chose for you to be a human child?”
He nods, throat in knots.
“So,” she fumbles. “You’ve been serving the Harringtons for eighteen years?”
“Pretty much.”
“Jesus.”

Or, eighteen years ago, the Harringtons walked out of Yellowstone Park with a newborn and the promise of ten wishes all bundled in one. Sixteen years later, Steve picks up a bat, restrictions be damned.

Summary
Steve’s life is going pretty great.
They made it through the most recent apocalypse mostly unscathed.
Eddie is now Steve’s second best friend after Robin.
The three of them live together in Indianapolis while Robin goes to college.
Then it all changes.

“Tiffany? It’s been a while.”
She snaps her mirror shut and smiles at Steve.
“Steve! It’s been too long! How are you doing?”
“Good? It’s nice to see you, but why am I here?”
She points a thumb towards the bin next to her bed.
“Her.”
Steve walks over to see a sleeping baby wrapped up in a pink blanket and pink hat.
“The baby?”
“Your baby.”
Steve looks at the baby in front of him and considers his life choices up to that point.

Or, Steve Eddie and Robin raise a baby together.
Meanwhile Steve copes with fatherhood by giving his dear, purely platonic, virgin friend Eddie lessons in sex. Like you do for your bros. No romantic feelings at all.

Just after the tragic death of Elias, Merrick makes the decision to give everyone a suicide pill. No one wants another Rorke. Their orders are to take the pill if captured, to prevent the enemy gaining any more advantages.
Logan is, of course, captured, and he knows what he must do. Some part of him even looks forward to it. Maybe he can put everything aside and sleep now.

His captain tipped his head to the side, a bird-like motion he'd developed over years of living with winged hybrids. For someone who'd never had wings of his own, Price fit in with them uncannily well.
"He's wingless too, and has been consistently assigned to winged front-line combat-recon units."
The way Price's face closed off made it clear he understood exactly what wasn't being said. Assigning a non-flyer to units like those was a sure way to get the person killed. "Hand me the file?"

Shortly after they get together Soap starts pestering Ghost about the ideal of adopting a little to look after. Ghost isn't particularly into the idea, and Gaz overhears the two of them spewing some nasty opinions about littles and military life.
It's going to take a long time for him to learn how to forgive his friends, but if he can manage it he might just find a caregiver along the way.

Summary
The blast flew him off his feet, slamming him into a wall before the ceiling collapsed. Dust and smoke filled his lungs, making every breath a struggle. Pain radiated through his body, sharp and insistent, but he was alive, barely.
He didn't know how long he lay there, disorientated and aching. Blood dripped from a gash on his forehead, trailing down the side of his face, and his limbs felt sluggish, unwilling to cooperate. But he forced himself to move. With shaking hands he dug himself out from beneath the debris, coughing as he finally managed to free himself from the wreckage.
Comms crackled in his ear, filled with the sound of battle- gunfire, heavy breathing, shouted orders. His fingers fumbled for the button, slick with blood, as he tried to unmute his mic.
"Sir-"
His voice was weak, strained barely above a whisper.
"You got the target?" Ghost's voice came through, rough and winded.
He swallowed against the dryness in his throat. "No, but-"
"No, 'but'," Price snapped. His voice was sharp, irritated. "I told you I don't wanna hear your voice again. Shut your mouth and do your job instead of yappin' our ears off. That's an order, Sergeant."
Silence.
