“Do come back tomorrow night, Livewire. I enjoy your company.” The human giggled at his compliment and Eddie grumbled under his breath.
Livewire? Since when did he have pet names for anyone besides Eddie? Since when did the human get extra special attention? Was it because of their weird glasses? They ignored them all for years and now they just waltz in and start dating everyone? Who the hell do they think they are?
All these thoughts rushed through Eddie’s mind and he grimaced. A blinding pain suddenly spread across the front of his head and he hissed. He reached up to massage his temples, rocking back on his heels to lean against the wall. There was a fog on the edges of his vision and he closed his eyes, taking in short breaths.
When the lights finally kicked off and the door locked, Eddie stood up from his spot on the floor and got back to his work.
Livewire….how ridiculous.

25 minutes later, his house was kid and Munson free. He thought about going back out to swim but the air had chilled and the pool heater wasn’t on so he decided against it. He went up to his room, stripping off his trunks and jumping into his bed naked. He pulled the blanket up around him and sighed.
Eddie Munson.
They had all ignored him the whole day in favor of him and it hurt. He felt a lump in his throat form and he had to fight back tears. He wanted to believe that they would still choose him over Eddie but now he wasn’t sure. He buried his face in his pillow and screamed
Goddamn Eddie Munson!

Eddie is beginning to think skipping town and starting over somewhere no one knows his name is the only chance he has left. Steve has another idea.
