Basically what it says on the tin. A very self-indulgent oneshot where Hound gets time swapped with Kakashi while he was kidnapped, Gai comes to rescue him and finds Hound. Mostly just how Hound might react to seeing older Gai, pure fluff.

Hound's inability to declare his presence didn't matter, because Gai seemed to come to some sort of realization after he looked at the cell. His entire demeanour softened, coal-black eyes melting to their familiar inky kindness. He unerringly found the corner Hound was sequestered in, gaze resting just above him in a way that suggested his knowledge of the hiding spot was gained from experience and not somehow spotting Hound.
This Gai was so much steadier than his younger counterpart. Not only taller and wider, Kakashi was eye level with his chest now, but steady and dependable like a weathered mountain. Like Hokage rock, he thought deliriously. Maybe the blood loss was getting to him just a little. But also, maybe, Kakashi could feel the guilt of burdening this older Gai later, and maybe lean on him a little first.

Leona let the blood and sand fill his mouth. It drizzled over his shut lips and onto his chin. An empty chalice overfilled with nothing. A big bloody nothing.
The sand had reached his lungs. For a while it abated slightly, but it was returning full throttle. And twice as violent than previously.
His Kingdom will stay even if he does not. It was as much of a comfort as it was grievance to Leona. Leona will die. His kingdom will not come with him. A kingdom that he ached his whole life for will not even wink his way at his departure. But he was grateful for that. He never liked the fanfare. The flowers, the pall, the sobs-none of it. He much rather died like he lived: silently, dissolving to sand. Not a sound but the hushed bell of a misfortunate fate.
This was not the first Leona had contemplated his Death nor will it be his last.
If he had one wish, it would be to dissolve on the floor of his kingdom. If. He knew better than to give fate more fodder to destroy him with. It was taking its sweet time.
