"You...my mother...everyone seems to think I'm only angry about my eye," his snarl had returned, as his body kept pushing forward towards her, "what none of you seem to understand is just how deep this goes."
Rhaena felt herself backing up against a bookshelf, Aemond hadn't stopped his pursuit. Stepping closer and closer until he crowded her, caging her in with his hands planted on either side of her.
Leaning down dangerously close to her, his lips nearly grazing against her ear. For the first time since her stay here she found herself overly focused on him. She wasn't thinking of weak points to attack him, though she knew them. She wasn't thinking of how she could kill him for standing so close to her, her mind wasn't clouded with vitriol and hatred.
All she could feel was the heat radiating off of his close proximity. All she could smell was a warm spice, a hint of lemon, and Vhagar on him.
And it bothered her just how pleasant she'd found the mixture.
