Billy thinks about hazing, and that he knew what Steve’s group was like, so he’s really only dragged this on himself. Back in California, when Billy joined the basketball team as a freshman, the older guys had made them all go jump into the sea, naked, in the middle of the night.
That is basically what this is. These… pranks. They’re just a way of testing Billy, of initiating him into the group. Billy’s going to prove to them he’s alright now. He’s not going to lose it and start screaming or lash out with his fists. That’s probably what they’re afraid of. They want to see if Billy’s good enough for Steve, and Billy gets why they’d worry, because he’s kind of a shitty fucking person.

Dream’s ex-boyfriend looks okay, all things considered. He certainly appears to look a hell of a lot better than Dream does, anyway. Sapnap seems to have recently showered, and appears in the doorway wearing a pair of black basketball shorts and the hoodie Dream had given him a couple months back.
“I wanted to talk,” Dream begins. His voice comes out soft, tender, and just a little desperate. “I know I don’t deserve it, but you deserve an explanation and to know that I’m sorry. What I did… What I did was really stupid, and I never wanted to hurt you like that.”
Sapnap rolls his eyes. “Fine,” he mutters. He jerks the door wider and steps aside. “Come in then, I guess.”

Sapnap agreed to go with Karl to a party that Mr. Beast was throwing to celebrate the completion of their most recent huge project. Sapnap would be in North Carolina for two weeks, so he figured he might as well tag along. Plus, Karl was so happy when Sapnap said he would go.
As the day grew closer, Sapnap really just… didn’t want to go. He just wanted to have a nice, relaxing night in. Maybe a movie night, or a game night; anything but a big party. So Sapnap equipped his trusty, maybe-more-frequently-used-than-necessary excuse of ‘I don’t feel good.’
In hopes of making it believable, he played the part all day until the two of them were supposed to leave that night.
Sapnap did end up getting what he asked for, but… not in the way he expected to.
