The man looks confused, and then intrigued. Lan Zhan thinks he will have no problem remembering him tomorrow. He has very… distinguishing features.

Then, in sync with the melody, he suddenly unfurled, arched his back and spread out like a butterfly, his dark hair cascading towards the floor. He felt his blood boil inside of him. He parted his lips and exhaled, basking in the pleasure of the strain, as the song came to a close.
It almost felt good.

It's no surprise that Proud Immortal Demon's Way got picked up for a drama adaptation, considering the popularity of it and its author, Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky.
Shang Qinghua is thrilled his passion project got so far, and works diligently to help adapt it. Part of this includes considerations for casting, and when that rolls around, he finds out an old classmate of his is now an up-and-coming actor. To Shang Qinghua, Mobei Jun is the best candidate for the protagonist's second-in-command, an ice demon—and it makes perfect sense, because here's a secret: that man actually inspired the character.
There's just one problem.
Shang Qinghua once assumed this man did not like him, and even after they got stuck working together on a group project, he still felt awkward around him. Now that it's years later and they're about to cross paths again, Shang Qinghua can't help but be nervous. He wants to build a friendship with someone so cool...but what will Mobei Jun think when he realizes who wrote the novel this show is adapting? What if he hates the story? What if that makes him hate Shang Qinghua?
