Summary
Don and Kathy would move in together. They would have a dog or two and then inevitably, a small parade of adorable little brats who would call him Uncle Cosmo, and they would spend less and less time with him, not on purpose but busy with the rest of their lives, and ultimately Cosmo would learn to make his peace with it because he’d have no other choice and he would have to try to move on and not live too much in his memories. He could picture it so clearly, he figured if the songwriting gig with Monumental didn’t pan out, he could always return to the backwater circuit with a new act: The Amazing Cosmo of the Cosmos—ladies and gentlemen, he sees the future, he reads the stars, he silently pines for his best married pal and all the while tap dancing!
Don and Kathy inviting him along on their honeymoon, though—that part was a surprise.

“Are we actually doing this?” Fleury asks eagerly, shit-eating grin on his face. He watches as Sid posts a copy of the roster to a board inside the locker room.
Sid sighs. “Dumo and Rusty convinced me we have to,” he says. “For, like, charity. Or something.”
Tanger raises an eyebrow. “How does not… you know. How does that help charity?”
Dumo steps in quickly. “It raises awareness! Prostate cancer kills!”
“Ok, but we’re not telling anyone about this,” Sid rushes to say. “Like, this absolutely has to stay in the locker room, you get that, right?”
Bryan rolls his eyes. “Obviously, Croz.”
“So how does this… whatever. You all want to do this, be my guest,” Sid says.
“No, no, captain must participate too,” Geno pipes in. “How else will team bond?”
“Fine,” Sid says unhappily. “I’ll do it too.”

Summary
Bradley doesn’t really know when it ended. If he’s honest, he doesn’t know when it began, either. He and Jake are like the tides, pulling in and pushing out on an endless cycle with no discernible edge. Sure, there’s a pattern there, but Bradley can’t find it, can’t control it. Or maybe he can, but he doesn’t want to. If there’s an end to be found, he doesn’t want it. Even if that means he’ll be dragged out every time he’s pulled in.

Rooster laughs and pushes his face away with the heel of his clean palm. “You wish, man.”
Despite that, his hand slides open to cup Jake’s jaw. Jake doesn’t comment on it, and Rooster doesn’t say anything about the tender way Jake kisses him back down against the seat of the car.

Summary
Now that Bradley knows what he's looking for, he can't believe he'd never clocked how Seresin uses any excuse to touch Mav — on the wrist, the arm, his thigh, his hip at one point — and the way Mav seems to lean into it every time. Like it's perfectly normal. Like they touch each other all the time.
Which makes him wonder exactly when Seresin and Mav had hooked up, and how often it had happened, because they seem far too close for this to have been a one-night stand. Which also makes Bradley wonder if Mav has made Seresin come the way Bradley does or if Seresin has spent hours eating Mav out like he does Bradley — and has to battle back both the sharp pang of envy and press a hand to his aching groin to get it to ease the hell down.
(By which what Bradley really means is, he wants to plant himself between Jake and Maverick, and beg them to fuck him blind.)
