I stumbled across The Freak Circuit just today, and I’ve already spiraled into obsession. It’s still in development, but I can’t get over the concept, the aesthetic, and the potential of its characters. The moment I saw Harlequin, I knew, yeah, I’m gonna write for him. So here we are.
Also, I feel like Harlequin has an incredibly pleasant voice, smooth, rich, and captivating. He knows exactly how to use his words, often speaking in a flirtatious, lyrical manner that draws people in. Mara Lewis is an athletic trainer for the local training ice plex for Seattle's professional and recreational teams. She's been stuck plastering Band-Aids to boo boos and kissing ass to only possibly get a position with a professional team. Only to be denied due to 'budget strain'.
Jade Clark is America's Sweetheart in the Women's League, and had the skills to back it. While Seattle might be new to her, the struggles of a new team, old rivals, and extremely questionable crush are not.

Steve turns and points at her threateningly with the sugar scoop.“You started it. It’s not like I have time for that type of thing anyway.”
Robin rolls her eyes, leaning into the counter beside him.
“Last time I checked, dick doesn’t take up too much time.”
Steve groans, shoving the scoop into the bucket of sugar, methodically measuring out before dumping it into the bowl. And okay, she had every reason to assume he was only after his most..prized assets. But that wasn’t it— wasn’t it mostly.
“Now who’s being disgusting? You know what I mean” He murmurs, clicking the mixer into full speed with his arms crossed.
