Summary
Ryan's smirk grew deeper, his stride long and confident as he crossed in front of Naim, turning his head to maintain their eye contact as he reached to open the bathroom door. This particular toilet, the one next to the staircase and tucked under the corner wall, was rarely used. Despite the large amount of foot traffic by it once classes dismissed, it was out of sight just enough for most people to not even be aware of it. Naim watched as Ryan swung open the door, threw a pointed look in his direction, and disappeared behind it.
If Naim had followed Ryan into the bathroom instead of the Entity.

Summary
Having someone look at you as if they are dissecting you, digging down into your very core was a terrifying idea. But everything felt a little less scary when Naim was with Ryan.
Finally, Ryan's eyes settle, staring directly into Naim's. "But, you're all I've ever wanted Naim"
It's said with so much certainty, Naim can't even try to push back.
"Is it bad i still miss my mum?" Naim's voice comes out barely above a whisper.
OR
Essentially just what the title says, a day in Naim and Ryan’s lives eight months after they left Bandee. Really just an excuse to implement many of my headcannons.

University will be filled with men who have trust funds and expensive internships, ones who could afford to take Naim to dinner and museums and on romantic dates. Men who didn’t smell like motor oil and clay dust and cigarettes, men who could take him to parties in polo shirts and nice clean cars. Naim would never have to take the bus again. Roiling, hot jealousy fills his head for this nameless, faceless man, Naim’s future boyfriend. He’d probably play the guitar or something. Write Naim stupid songs. Shit like that. Ryan feels sick.
Since leaving Bandee an over a year ago, they’ve never spent a single night apart. Naim’s University orientation might change that.

Even back in the old town he lived in, he was pretty much alone, he was used to being alone. It’s not something he can really change that easily.

"You’re not going to believe this,” Naim says with a laugh. He takes a long drag of the cig. “That crazy lady in there thinks you’re beating me up. Like, straight up thinks you’re giving me all these scratches and bruises and shit.”
Naim expects him to laugh, but Ryan doesn’t. He looks absolutely stricken. The color drains from his face. He stops in the middle of the sidewalk. “On purpose?”
5 months after setting off to build a life of their own, Naim and Ryan are still plagued by attacks from the entity. It's hard to avoid getting defensive wounds.
Naim's boss thinks Ryan is responsible.

Ryan kicks off his shoes and then he’s crowding Naim against the couch, lips burning like sun-soaked December. He kisses the slope of his jaw, his cheek, the side of his mouth. Naim is breathless trying to keep up. He tangles his fingers in Ryan’s hair and tugs—anything to slow the love spilling out of his mouth.
“Ryan—” Naim can only breathe and moan into Ryan’s mouth, pressing their bruised lips together over and over and over. He curls one hand around Ryan’s left bicep and he twitches in his pants. He’d be a lot more embarrassed if this didn’t happen every day.
When Ryan finally pulls away, their lips are still centimeters apart. He smiles, soft and pretty and unbearably fond. “You hungry?” He asks.
Naim nods. Fucking starving.

It didn’t help, either, that he wasn’t allowed to tell them about the most important person in his life. Staying mysterious only helped for so long. It was isolating, being this secretive. The nerves mixed with the hiding didn’t exactly make it easy to connect with his teammates.
Shane could tell it was hurting Ilya. Ilya didn’t want Shane to worry, but he could tell his reassurances only helped so much. Which is why, after debating and discussing, they decided that Ilya should tell his teammates about his partner. Not Shane, but tell them about Jane.
