There’s just something off and unnatural about her that makes Aloy want to put some sort of barrier between them. The short fleeting touches like the fingers barely brushing her arm in passing and the hand casually resting on her back or shoulder for just a few seconds haven’t escaped Aloy’s notice either and fill her with similar feelings of unease.

Harrison runs.
The snow crunches beneath his boots, his breath puffs in front of him, his chest aches like it never has before, and he doesn't even know when he does but he reaches the highway- his brain is so fucked he can't even remember what goddamn highway, all he knows right now is he needs to leave and he needs to do it fast. His heart pounds inside his chest, his cheeks burn, lungs scorching from gulping cold air, his legs pounded against the concrete and he hadn't a clue in the world as to where he was headed. He ran, following that highway, not sure which direction he was headed- he'd tossed his phone miles back to avoid any sort of tracker being on him, so he couldn't even check now.
Harrison's legs were weak, and he was fueled by pure adrenaline, and he wanted to stop so badly, but he couldn't. He'd just shot his fucking father, the one person who saw him for what he is and loved him, even with that darkness inside him- what was it that Dad had called it? The.. Dark Passenger? Whatever.
Harrison collapsed on the side of the road, his legs finally caving.Or:
