Marine Biologist Fingon sneaks aboard the dread smuggling ship Angband, to release the sea-creatures Morgoth Bauglir has cruelly captured. There he sees a sight few men have ever seen. Trapped in a small tank was a merman. Fingon resolves to free Morgoth's pet and get him back to his family. Of course, it goes so much worse and so much better.

Summary
Why do so many in this fandom have such a fascination with Feanor and his sons? Why do these blatant criminals, warmongers, and thieves reliably draw admiration or even love from readers, clearly contrary to their creator's intent?
Part textual history of the stories of Feanor, his sons, his family, and his angelic enemies as their characters radically changed with Tolkien's increasingly rigid beliefs, part literary analysis, part raging against the gods, part questioning the glories of paradise, this aims to convince the reader that if Feanor the character is a villain, then Feanor the personification of man's rebellion against authority is not, even if Tolkien grew to believe he was. To be drawn to the Feanoreans in spite of Tolkien is to be drawn to Don Quixote in spite of his creator's attempt to bury the character, and with him an ideology.

FLOWER GOD’S ASCENT was a male power fantasy of a xianxia novel. To be more specific, Flower God’s Ascent was a monster-fighting, escapist cultivation novel with an incomparably ridiculous length, a plot and moral stance that circumvented any actual sense of consequence, and a collection of increasingly ridiculous magical swords with equally ridiculous special properties. In the main plot, the protagonist went about collecting every “rare and priceless” blade in his quest to ascend to the highest rank in heaven and become the Heavenly Emperor's favorite son. The year’s hottest xianxia novel—there was no other!

800 years ago, Xie Lian transmigrated into the protagonist of Flower God's Ascent, and immediately changed the plot, accidentally changing the genre from power fantasy into a tragedy. Now he wanders the mortal realm, cursed, with a buggy and outdated System that only seems to crash.
When Xie Lian unknowingly gains enough C-points to qualify him for a third ascension, he gets swept into what could finally be a whole new plot. But who exactly is this "Hua Cheng" person? Certainly he wasn't in the original novel, doesn't he seem much too important to never have been mentioned in the original world?
