Waking up on that last day had been something he’d dreaded. He woke up sore and exhausted, but most importantly, he’d woken up to the quiet breaths of a sleeping Naruto.
Easing his way out of the alpha’s hold- he’d forgotten just how clingy the blonde was in his sleep, had been too easy, given his extensive training. But at the same time, it had been so hard to pull away.
Sasuke had gotten dressed slowly, almost hoping that in the time he took to clothe himself, Naruto would wake up so that he could say goodbye. Another part of himself urged him to leave quickly, because the last time Sasuke had tried to say goodbye, it had ended in a soul crushing fight where he’d won, but they’d both lost.
Leaving without blue eyes watching him was the kinder option, even if it felt wrong to do.

Gon tilted his head, confused. “But we are in a relationship. Killua’s my best friend.”
Leorio slapped a hand over his face and Kurapika just sighed, quietly comforted, as he descended deeper into the dark underbelly of society, by the way some things stayed the same.
“No, dummy.” Killua clenched his jaw, closing his eyes in impatience. “We have to pretend to be boyfriends.”
Killua must teach Gon a very particular set of skills.
Too bad Gon's never been that good at faking his feelings.

There are lots of things I could use, but none of them fit right.” Gon lowers his gaze, rubbing his thumbs over Killua’s knuckles. “I could call you ‘my life’, because it’s true, but I think you would combust if I called you that in public. I could call you ‘love’, but that sounds too serious. I could call you ‘dear’, because you’re dear to me, but that’s not serious enough. So, it’s kind of complicated. You know?”
Killua doesn’t respond. Gon lifts his head to find Killua gaping at him, his usually pale cheeks scarlet and his blue eyes large.
Uh, oh. Gon’s stomach lurches. Did he just break Killua?

"Can't help it," Gon said easily, pulling Killua flush to his chest. "You look too nice. I couldn't resist kissing you."
Killua's cheeks grew warm and he cracked open an eye. "I look like I just rolled out of bed."
Gon grinned. "So? That’s exactly why I think you look nice."
